Tonight was a solid set, but the venue was a bit weird. Due to it being an all ages show, the floor was cordoned off into a 21+ area and a non-drinking area which segmented the area around the stage. There was also a balcony - pretty far back - that was for those of the 21+ crowd.

At any rate, they played the set list as written. So take it for what it's worth:
-Selfish Jean
-Eyes Wide Open
-Writing to Reach You
-Love will Come Thru
-Re-Offender
-As You Are
-My Eyes
-Pipe Dreams
-Beautiful Occupation
-Side
-Driftwood
-Good Feeling
-Closer
-Sing
-All I Wanna Do is Rock
-Turn

E: 3 Times and you Lose!!!
E: Flowers in the Window
E: Battleships
E: Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

highlights were a reprise of beautiful occupation (not getting sick of this one any time soon!) and 3 times and you lose (first time played live, per fran).

I loved, loved, loved the show!
I find the Crystal Ballroom to be a fun venue, and don't mind that the only close stage access is for the non-drinking crowd.
The show started on an awesome note with "Rocky" music, and the band dressed in boxing robes coming to the stage via the aisle created between the two sections. Both the band and the crowd had great energy. Fran is a great front man, he interacts well with the crowd and genuinely seems to be pleased that people like the music. Dougie makes great eye contact with people, I had a huge grin on my face because he raised his eyebrows at me. Andy is an amazing guitarist, and it was awesome to have him come off the stage and walk right past me for a guitar solo. Neil is a bit of a wallflower on his drums, so it was nice to have him come out front to do Flowers in the Window. All in all I preferred this show to the last Travis concert I had seen, last tour, in Seattle, because it was very intimate & the energy level was much higher. How often can you jump in rhythm with a crowd of people on a floating dance floor while an amazing band is putting on an incredible performance? Not often enough!!

It was the first time I had ever been to the crystal ballroom and the very first time I had ever been to a Travis concert. I came to the concert as a guest of the band. My daughters Boyfriend is the main sound man. We were able to be guests through him. The music the concert and just everything was fabulous. My view was from backstage. Very awesome. I found the stage crew very accommodating and warm and friendly. Thank you Bomber..... for the T-shirt. Welcomed us as family. We had not heard too many songs from them before the concert, but we Loved ALL of their music and energy.
After the show we got to meet Fran and Dougie. Hung out for a while with them. They said they Loved Portland and will most definitely be back next year. We found them to be very friendly and down to earth and very easy to talk with.
Great guys-great music-hot energy.
Looking forward to next years concert already! :)

The Crystal Ballroom is awesome....my only regret is not staying after the show to talk to the band yet again as the wife and I had just told them the night before in Seattle that we only flew in from Michigan to see that show.

We got to the airport in Seattle Sunday morning and just couldn't get on the plane home...quick flight change, booked a car...a hotel to rest in.. and we were off on our 2.5 hour drive down to Portland. It was probably the smartest thing we ever did.

It was like night and day seeing Travis in Portland versus Seattle. Not sure if it was the small venue, the fact that they had a rest day the next day...whatever...they were pumped up and jumping around the stage like madmen...smiles on all of their faces.

Just check the message board for all of my pics and vids to see for yourself!

The show was amazing! I love the Crystal Ballroom. I had been to the Crystal before, but never had seen Travis live, and it was great that it was there! I was also able to greet Fran and Dougie earlier that day at the Mississippi Studios in North Portland, for they had a short acoustic show, which was too good.
Come back to Portland again!

Well I loved this show. There is always good sound at the Crystal and that sprung floor is great for boppin'. The band sounded great and their enthusiasm reflected on the crowd. I lived in Glasgow for seven years and never saw them in their howm town - wish I had. Come back soon.
