I actually doubt that the guys in the seats fell asleep, cos how could anyone? (and in addition they had brought Maltesers and coffee ;)

Thanks for a great show in Odense - and for promising that you won't let another 2 and a half years pass before you come back!

I really, REALLY, admire the effort the band made to get the audience to actually participate in the concert. As we arrived a few minutes before the support band came on stage, we could litterally walk right up to front. As Travis finally came through the audience and on stage, I and a few other enthusiasts near the stage were wooping. As they started playing Selfish Jean, I looked behind me - and realised, that most of the audience could hardly be bothered to lift an eyebrow! Probably the dullest audience in the tour history of Travis. Maybe I'm just making the mistake and comparing it to the gig at Barrowlands in May, but this was pathetic.

Anyhow, this is why I admire the band's, and especially Fran's effort to get the audience going. As a review in a Danish paper said, the jokes and the broad Scottish accent charmed everyone :o) After about half an hour, the audience was actually singing along to songs, and thus the atmosphere improved considerably. The journalist writing this review also seemed baffled by the lack of participation from the audience's side.

Since I was so close up front, I just tried to ignore the audience behind me and I shouted along the best I could to the songs. It was great to hear The Line Is Fine! I heard that Midsummer Night's Dreaming has also been played in some towns, I wish I could have heard that one. I also would've liked Back In Black or Happy to be played at the end, but I don't think there was enough enthusiasm in the audience to merit that. What a shame.

All in all, I had a great night, and it was definitely worth it, even if I had to wait an hour and a half at a freezing cold station to get home.

Hi Fran, Dougie, Andy and Niel! First of all thanks a lot for great moments in Odense-DK. My wife and I are the two fans meating you just after rehersel in the afternoon. All of you signing my Travis-tee and just shering a moment with us was so nice. That moment and the concert in the evening we felt like being in heaven - apparently not so far away from us (cc. lyrics from Pipe Dreams). Meeting you guys in person was an expirence and a dream coming true and thanks for being so obliging and nice to us. At the concert we were lucky to be in the very front. It was a great evening were you gave us an experience in presence and so fine musik alwyas to remember. Also a big compliment to Claus on the piano - even though he is from Sweden.....:-)
See you again to the concert in Oslo next sunday. Also here we hopefully will be in the frontline. We love you guys for being as you are as band and persons.
