OK, brilliant show!! I am still swooning over it. Fran is so amazing. Andy is amazing. I will post my pictures soon. Here is what I remember...Setlist with what he talked about in between...

Twenty
Story about taking his 82 yr old Grandpa to the movies. Went to a Harvey Keitel movie. Scene where Harvey’s character masturbates next to his cop car. His Grandpa was like what kind of movie are you taking me to?! Fran was thinking of this girl he liked at that time...
I Love You Anyways
Up somewhere in Scotland, crappy weather...the slideshow just said ‘Fucking Freezing’...
All I Want to Do Is Rock
Almost not on the album...?
Turn
As You Are
Noel talked about how he nicks chords from other songs, so Fran nicked Wonderwall...also the author ... who wrote love letters to a woman he met once or twice, the rest of the relationship was in his head...talked about how Noel brought Travis on tour with Oasis...Showed a funny pic of Noel smoking a cig, eyes squinted...and showed a pic of the author as the song played...
Writing To Reach You
Needed a 3rd single...Fran tried to pitch it as it could be a summer, Wimbledon song cuz it always rains during Wimbledon...also they played Glastonbury...beautiful day then rained during this song...The crowd was like stone-faced, they were a new band and they left the stage and thought their gig was terrible...(After they played it he played it as an intro to Sweet Caroline and everyone sang....the “so good so good” part he was like, why do you do that?! Talked about how Neil Diamond is a big pothead...)
Why Does It Always Rain on Me
About how certain songs are about memories...I think he talked about file sharing here, and how music is like a joke, you hear it and tell your friend, then your friend tries to pass it off as his own...music is more than money, even if the record industry tanked people will still write songs...
Slideshow
In a hotel, and it sounded like someone was dying or choking on their own sick, which is how lots of musicians die...Frantically went from room to room...found Andy in his clothes on the bed fast asleep with the TV blaring, glasses crooked, and chewing his gum...Neil was sprawled out naked and Fran wondered ‘why is that - that color??’....walked into a room and Dougie was hurling outside a window and Fran was asking him if he was alright. Dougie wiped his mouth and was like, ‘I am perfectly fine, nothing wrong here’...Then talked about how the next song is about meeting the person you are supposed to be with....
Flowers in the Window
Was given an assignment to write a more upbeat song, so far The Man Who was ’ too depressing’...So he was putting off the assignment by washing dishes, like when you are supposed to get something done but you do everything else that you normally won’t so you don’t have to do your work...washing dishes and hummed the chorus...thought about Cheers, Norm, talking about a company who was going to let a bunch of people go, people that are just like driftwood...went upstairs to record the chorus. Left it alone, came back later and discovered he had pressed the wrong buttons...no song. Listened to it and heard himself walking away from the recorder...Andy came over and they listened to some song over and over...heard himself come back upstairs, then walk away again...as the tape was about to run out, as he walked downstairs, he hummed it again and got just a few seconds of it...but it was enough....
Driftwood
As they played Driftwood Fran suddenly stopped and said he lost his train of thought. The crowd loved it except for one a$$hole who yelled ‘just play the f-ing song’. People literally gasped and Fran was a bit taken aback. He asked who said that and everyone pointed to the guy and Fran called him a Dickhead. Then he dedicated the next song to him...
We Are Monkeys
Talked about how kinds swinging inspired a song Swing Swing Swing, but Dougie said we can’t record that song, it is about wife swapping, putting your keys in a bowl...so Fran changed it to Sing....
Sing
Next song is about someone you see at the bar who is ‘shit hot’ but then you go talk to them and there’s nothing there....
Beautiful
Side
OK, this was the part where he talked about naked torsos and showed lots of pics of Jake Gyllenhaal shirtless. The next song was written for a movie that starred Jake. Showed a pic of Jake running and Fran put his head over the guy running with him so it looked like Fran was running with him.
Love with Come Through
About someone who hurts you more than once…?
Re-Offender
Talked about his kid Clay and showed him at 6 months and then 6 years...Wrote the song when he found out Nora was pregnant...wanted to mark the moment....
My Eyes
About a friend who did something that Fran couldn’t get over, changed the name of the person slightly but the person knew the song was about them....
Selfish Jean
About an old couple...?
Before You Were Young
New song.....
As It Comes
Then Fran took requests...several people yelled She’s So Strange...(PS I found this funny as back in like 2000 at a Travis show at the Quest some annoying dude yelled for them to play SSS during the ENTIRE show...he was drunk and annoying and terrible). People yelled Coming Around...
Closer
Blue Flashing Light
Coming Around

What an amazing show!! There are very few artists that will provide such an intimate show and then sell their own merchandise at the end, allowing us fans to actually meet them. All I have to say, is that we apologize for the turd face who impatiently swore at Fran while he was on stage. Obviously this guy did not belong at the concert. Hopefully this is not the only way Fran and Andy remember minneapolis. This is hands down the best show I have ever been to!

EMILY'S FRAN AND ANDY EXPERIENCE!!!

Travis's music has gotten me through some horrible and wonderful times in my life. They have inspired me (TURN), comforted me (LUV, REOFFENDER, MORE THEN US), rejoiced with me (SING, MY EYES), and have helped me along lifes trivial days (ALL SONGS). SHE'S SO STRANGE will always be my favorite song.

This show was probably one of the greatest nights I have had in a very long time. I live in Phoenix but temporarily work 3 nights a week in Las Vegas. Fran and Andy were not making stops in either cities, but much to my excitement they were playing in my hometown of Minneapolis on a weekend. With all my traveling for work over the summer I had acquired a free ticket on Southwest Airlines, along with that Fran and Andy's show tickets were VERY reasonably priced. Being a single mom on a limited income makes it hard for me to travel and go to concerts. This happened to work out PERFECTLY!

My sister and I got lost on our way to the show (She lives up by Canada, so we were both out of our element). But being a HUGE Travis fan for many many many years I was determined to find my way to the show. And we did. Once there some kids jacket caught on fire at the table next to us. He sat there and didn't seem to notice. So, I politely pointed that out to him and asked him to put it out. He freaked out quietly and some of the workers helped to extinguish it without causing a scene. Thank goodness!!! Nothing was going to stop this show from happening. My sister made a joke "Emily you saved his life!".

The show started and was amazing! Fran sounds unbelievably excellent live. Andy blew me away with his talent. The set was an incredible blend of songs! They played about 6 songs from The Man Who (My favorite Album). I was a little sad that She's So Strange wasn't played. But I got over that very quickly when they came out and got to meet their fans. I was so impressed with how nice they both were. My sister blurted out "My sister is your biggest fan!". I am still beaming over the kiss I recieved on the cheek and the autographs, and the smiles they had for me. They made me feel like I was an important part of their fanbase.

I loved that Fran shared pictures of his son with us. I called my 8 year old back in phoenix and we listened to "My Eyes" together. The guys also sent an autograph home to my boy (who gets the luxury of listening to Travis with me everyday).

Fran and Andy, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my experience so amazing. I will never forget it. You made the music all the much better by being who you are!!
