It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since my first Travis show (who can forget the Reading student union), but the boys are still rocking with a fantasitic set and awesome music. I loved the mix of songs from all 6 albums, and really enjoyed the gong! The crowd was jumping and everyone had a great time. Mixing 'driftwood' with 'eyes wide open' was great. Tried to wait around after the show, but a hour and a half is far to long for me on a weeknight. Ah, all I wanna do is rock. :)

Thanks again for a fantastic show, and please hurry back to DC soon! We miss you guys already!

Another great gig from the lads. I first saw them on the Invisible Band tour and I make it a point to see them every time they are in DC. I have to make a correction to the previous review though, the two songs that they brilliantly mixed together were "Side" and "Eyes Wide Open". All in all a very strong set. I love the new album and enjoyed all the tracks they played from it. The only song missing from the set in my opinion was "As You Are". Andy was in fine form and Dougie was looking as cheeky as ever. I hope they go right back to the studio and keep their momentum going. Cheers.

I agree with you - I wished they would have played "As You Are", but the show was amazing! I saw them in 2001 at the 9:30 club - super cool! Love you guys!

I got one of Dougie's guitar picks! Woot!

A guy standing near me took a ton of pictures - are you out there? Can you post the pics? I wish I could go to the set in Boston this weekend...

As always the guys of Travis gave us an amazing show. If someone likes Travis' albums they'll LOVE seeing them live. These guys are amazing perfomers and always include the audience in every song. Their love of music and each other really broadcasts out to the crowd and it's impossible to not have a great time.

After the show I saw Neil walk out to the bus and then said "hi" to Klaus as he went on. I'm assuming Fran made it out before we got there. They certainly deserve rest after the show! We waited and got to talk to, take pictures with, and get stuff signed by Dougie and Andy. Dougie asked that I post some pictures from the 7/2007 gig at the 930 Club to the archives here, so I'll go load them this evening.

I can't wait until they come back to DC! I hope the rest of the tour is as wonderful as last night.

Such a brilliant night as always from Travis. I go to a lot of concerts and what strikes me after a Travis gig is how they are so able to bring the audience into it and share the love. They show gratitude; they show their love for each other; they show their love for the music. It's actually shockingly rare and it takes the experience to a whole new level.

Saw Travis live for the 1st time at the 9:30 Club in DC. I expected a lot from them, and my expectations were surpassed. What a pleasant, multi-talented group they are! They covered a lot of album territory, with J Smith probably the most covered, which allowed them to rock out some. When they played their anthems -- "Why does it always rain on me?" and "Closer" -- most of the crowd sang along. The 9:30 club was a great venue to see them in = no seats, standing only, and it was packed. This will date me, but Travis reminded me of seeing Jethro Tull in 1971....not that the music is too similar, but it's a really great band that probably hasn't even peaked yet.
