I can't add much to the rave reviews that have already been given. Amazing show, amazing experience, amazing musicians.

The venue was a little odd unless you had a reservation ahead of time with your ticket, but standing around the bar, you still got a great experience.

The stories were great: The man on the train for "As You Are", the Liam Ghallagher impersonations for "Luv", Dougie's dry-heaving for "Flowers in the Window", the "Swing" version of "Sing", the rap version of "Side", and the fantastic Michael Jackson story from the previous show for "My Eyes".

There appeared to be some very high quality video filming happening (a camera right into Andy's guitar playing, a zooming in and panning around of Fran, and other cameras I counldn't see what they were filming), so I can only hope and pray for a future DVD release.

I bought the "bootleg" CD, and tried to get it signed, but the line was too long and I couldn't miss the last train....no pun intended, but that would have been the icing on the cake of the night, but it just wasn't meant to be for me.

Can't wait til the new album is out and the next tour to hit up New York. Thank you both for a fantastic night and delivering a performance 40 nights into the tour and making it feel like it was the very first night and it was our own special show. You're awesome.

Magical experience: the most intimate set, perfect sound and vocals, and the best stories ever! My cheeks hurt from laughing at the end of the evening:
Fran's stories and impersonations are priceless. I smile each time I remember a random little bit last night: like "you decide" or Andy's smiles before closing his eyes!

Thank you Andy and Fran for this special night! It went by so fast: I could have seriously listened to two more hours - I would have loved hearing my faves Big Chair and Coming Around ;)!

I'm listening to the "bootleg" CD and loving it!
It was a super-treat chatting after the show and saying thank you in person to my favorite live band!

See you next time on tour!

Absolutely Brilliant!
My husband and I saw the full band at Webster Hall back in April and that was an awesome night to remember, but this was a more personal experience, and totally unexpected from a band of this caliper. The more reserved atmosphere was certainly different than the April show, but no less enjoyable. Fran and Andy started playing around 9:45 and ended the set at 12:15, WOW ! We wanted to stay to do the “meet and greet”, buy the CD, etc, but the time was so late and we had our 17 yr old daughter with us so we were all disappointed at having to leave. We were tired at school and work today after only a few hours sleep, but the show was so worth it and we would love to see them again and again. Can anyone tell me how I can get that CD now after the show?????

this was the second time i saw a show on this "Frandy Travis" tour (fran's words, not mine!!) (i saw them in philly as well) and it was just as good the second time through. clearly a lot of effort went into making each show a little different and fresh for repeat fans (and maybe for themselves as well). i can only echo that the show was scottishly hysterical, intimate, spontaneous, and classically travis in a brand new way. it was a totally different experience than the full travis concert, one that us old fans have been waiting for, to hear back stories and personal $#it about the lads and the music.

i love that we could take photos without getting harassed, and even video (i may finally figure out the chords to when you were young). fran and andy stayed until the last fan was gone, just like in philly, and were just as gracious and interested at the end of the queue as they were at the beginning--we must have chatted with them for 10 minutes, got several great pictures, autographs, and even guitar riffs from andy (you rock!!).

as always, a 5-star experience from the not-so-invisible band! thanks fran and andy for 2 fantastic nights!! looking forward to the next album (we are such greedy fans!) and can't wait to see you again!!

I've been a Travis fan for a while now, and, yet this was my first show. It absolutely ranks as of my favorite shows I've ever seen. The background behind a bunch of the songs, as well as just the general (and comedic!) anecdotes, made for such an intimate and educational experience. The music, as expected, was fantastic. From start to finish my attention was held prisoner to the guitar playing (especially when Andy did "effects" sounds from the albums) and Fran's voice and stories. Personally, with the exception of a couple of missing songs, I got to feel like the setlist was kismet-ically designed around my wishes. It was riveting, and if I had the ability (and money) to do it all over again, I would do so in less-than-a-heartbeat. I really want to thank Fran and Andy for getting together to put on these shows, and allowing fans to see a different side of Travis.

I also wanted to stay for the signing, but alas, could not. I wanted to tell Fran that along with Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game", that "Sing" is a song I will hold onto until my final days.

My ask from the TravisOnline community is this: I know someone picked up the setlist, and I also know that some of you have far greater memories than I. The bootleg CD varies quite a bit from our show, so if someone could post the setlist (as best they can remember, or know), I would be most grateful. Variations from the CD definitely include "As You Are", "Writing to Reach You" and "Driftwood"...but I am missing some, I'm sure. Let us know.

Once again, great show, and I hope to see either this incarnation, or full band, again very, very soon.

Once again, thank you so much to Fran and Andy.

It is very hard to describe in words about this amazing gig at Joe's Pub. I had a priceless moment hearing all the stories behind the 20 songs Fran and Andy had decided to play and I could confirm, more than ever, how inspiring and passionate these musicians are. I am a huge fan of Travis since the very first album and, like wine, the older they are the better.
I had a chance to see their performance before but this acoustic version was just AMAZING! The best was to be able to talk to them at the end (I was there until 2:30 AM) about future plans of the band (maybe going to Brazil for the Rock n' Rio concert), memories of other gigs, stories, life and inspiration.
Travis is my favorite band and as Fran told me after his show, they will be around for at least good 50 more years :-)
