I still can't believe that a couple of friends and I had a table right in front of the stage for this performance. I was humbled by stripped down versions of some of my favorite songs. The setlist was something like this..

Sarah !!! (I requested this one. Great fuckin job Fran!)
(a cover I don't recognize)
I think that is it...^
When I requested Sarah, Fran was kind of like..."oh shit,..this was a b-side we recorded kind of quick, but we'll give it go" A small flub in the beginning but after that, a near perfect performance....The audience seemed to appricate his effort and gave him loud applause after.
Fran has a great sense of humour like everyone has said and really is a great story teller. I agree with you Fran-music that changes you or stays with you is priceless. Thanks for giving all of us some of that. To add to that...Andy played his ass off and Fran really sang his heart out...
Meeting the guys after the show was a surreal experience. I saw Fran and I said," hey I am the asshole that put you on the spot with Sarah", he smiled and said that it was cool and that he likes that song. I talked to them about their recording plans, told Fran my daughter loves 'my eyes', I pointed out to Andy that my friend at the show gave him a 'nuggie' at the Irving Plaza show a couple of years ago and he remembered and laughed a bit. i forgot to bring in my CD's for them to sign but I bought a bootleg copy and they signed my ticket. This could have been the best performance of an artist I have seen or will EVER see. Shout out to Cliff and Dan who went with me...come back soon guys.
