It was unusual seeing Travis on the 3rd stage in a mid-afternoon spot, but biy did they give us a show! Playing with the spirit of a brand new band, firing off all the hits and causing big singalongs.

They threw the crowd by coming on to the intro used on the tour in February (Cant remember what film it was from) then kicking off with Chinese Blues. The new stuff is already sitting perfectly with the older material.

They played...

Intro
Chinese Blues
Selfish Jean
Writing To Reach You
Side
J. Smith
Something Anything
Long Way Down
Closer
Sing
Flowers In The Window (Acoustic)
All I Want To Do Is Rock

The afternoon started really well for me as Fran very kindly gave up a large part of it to promote the petition for Save the Children. He stayed around for fans to get photos and autographs. I am a big fan of Travis's philosophy as well as the music!

Travis played in the afternoon in the JJB arena and it was extremely busy there. I have seen them play festivals 3 times before but always on a bigger stage. They were fantastic as usual. They are a really great live band, full of energy and enthusiasm. There was a good atmosphere with people singing along and the crowd seemed to love them. I would really like to see them on the big stage again at a festival as it can be difficult to see and hear in a tent, and more people could appreciate their performance. I am looking forward to the new album coming out and seeing them for the 10th time in Newcastle in October.

Fran was absolutely amazing at the save the children stand, especially as he wasn't expecting to have to sing for us there!
Back in the JJB arena they were awsome as ever and now I can't wait to get off to Shrewsbury for Indian Summer and Wolverhampton end of Sep!
