Aww Alex..I just heard about ur cat.I hope ur feeling much better now*hugs*It takes time to recover from a huge loss lk tt i guess.4 years ago I experienced smthg quite similar,my pet hamster died of old age worst of all,when I was at work.Only got to know when she was all buried and gone away from me forever..My sis didn't tell me until later coz she knew I'd be too distraught and so she took a wee bit of fur off her and made footprint marks on my fave handkerchief:( Still feel sad everytime I look at these remembrance even after 4 yrs on.Be strong Alex,ur cat memories lives on.*hugs*Take care and am glad to hear u had a perfect day on ur bday:) |

Did homework with them, made them dinner, showered, and put them to bed with a more or less funny - improvised bedstory ;)
The older one was a bit sick though - afraid I caught her cough though :(
The other children which I babysit, are 2,5 & 6 :) so I definitely know the age :) adorable :) |

It is hard to find good new music nowadays, seeing how the music scene is today. Personally, I think you just have to dig a bit more to find what is really good. But not cool that one has to work in order to find good music. I hope that your venture into the world of Weezer works out for you. If you want anymore recommendations, I'm always up for offering [I even have some Asian rock music that I must say is quite good, although I don't really understand it!]. |

Oh, poor you! I hope you're feeling better, haha. My pupil is a little girl, she's 9 years old :o). Some friends, my sister and I are tutoring kids for free. These are kids in poor families that can't afford a tutor. The kids and their family attend this "welfare kitchen". That's where we ask them if they need any help with school. We created a group in Facebook and a lot of people (tutors :oP) have joined. So the project is doing well :o) |

Only in Finland, as we don't have royals of our own. People are especially fond of Victoria, she's visited us several times. Last time must've been in context of the 1809 celebrations (that was when Sweden lost Finland to Russia), there's a bit of fuzz about it here, since it's considered as the beginning of the road to independence over 100 years later. |

But anywhoo...I also love Simon and Garfunkel [mostly got it from my mom since she's the one who told me that "I Am a Rock" is my theme song]. Never knew whether to take that as an insult or compliment. But besides them and Travis, my first band that I will probably always love is Weezer. I know they've been releasing questionable albums, but they have way too many hidden gems. Decemberists and Pixies are utterly amazing, and I saw both live so my love sorta grew for them...I can seriously ramble all day about music though. What about choo? |

Ps: Haha "Don't stop me now" ;) I haven't heard that song for about 4 years - back than we had a show with my choire& band - and I conducted that song - which was quite hard -because it had so many diff. voices and it changes the tempo :) But it was quite cool! :)
Ps2: to my father's music-taste: We grew up wit the music of my parents - like the 60-70ies:) Beatles, Abba, 10cc, Flowerpot Men, Blondie, Beach Boys, Brotherhood of men, C. Clearwater Revival, Foreigner, Donovan etc etc etc :) So they still meet once a year and have their "70" parties, where for once our parent's get drunk and dance like crazy til dawn ;)

I'm just happy that it's about weekend now.
First week back at the uni - went surprisingly well. Bought myself today a new guitar-belt and funny Simpsons-plectrums ...haha ;) I found a wonderful Fender-Guitar (bit too expencive for me though.) - and another one: "Tension" - which looked exactly like the fender one! Same shape, same colour - almost everything the same - just a lot cheaper! That can't be legal, right?
Well....I'll be working and hopefully saving up some money and then I'll go for the Fender...
Tonight: cinema-night with friends, and tomorrow finally my beloved DVD-night ;)

Hi Alex.
We had a brilliant time in Paris and meeting up with the other boardies was a lot of fun - it helped the time pass really quickly in the queue. This was my first time meeting the band and they were so lovely, humble and patient with us all. I've got some wonderful photos with the guys thanks to Lucile, another boardie.
I just want to do it all over again *sighs* Off to check out the league - I was torn away from the board all weekend by a mountain of snow to ski down so I need to catch up.

Hi...it's about 2 am...and in about 4 hours I'm supposed to get up again...so here's a short cut.
It all went very wrong. I'm totally confused now, although more than ever sure I don't want anything more than being friends.
First it was ok, - we played the guitar, I showed him around - we cooked and ate- watched a DVD. But then it all went very very wrong.
And we kissed. I'm a selfish, idotic, freaking bastard.
I said now like 20 times - but he just wouldn't listen and went on and on-
I should have never let it got that far.
It's all my fault. I was so flattered - someone actually liking me - so I didn't think twice. I shouldn't have let him come here - it would have never happened. "Just" kissng. He just wouldn't let go...
Now I'm brushing my teeth as life and death depends on it.
I'm a freak, I'm a prat, I'm a monster without hat...
sorry I disappointed you. I disappointed myself and everyone else, I guess.

Hola Alex! You downloaded that DVD? You probably haven't been able to watch on your computer. I struggled to get it to DVD to work on my DVD player but downloaded free software and 30 minutes later was watching on my TV in honestly near perfect quality. It's amazing! And you get a screen to be able to select the song. I've never downloaded anything like it before. It's really cool. Any problems, just ask and I'll do my best to help. :) Nobody else seems to have got it. They're missing out! lol |

Well he's cute -yes. But I've always seen him as the boyfriend of her! Feeling - well I'm confused - the last three times I was seeing him without his ex-girlfriend -which was new to both of us - and he started flirting and all things - and I thought it was fun. I mean whenever it became seriouse he even said himself: he could never do that to his ex. So it was clear to me - that's just fooling around, you know.
Now yesterday we went out for a coffee (ok - not a date! He's Swiss not a Swede :) )
and it started snowing - and we had a snowballfight - and kinda ended up holding on to each other (haha just to control each other) - but then he got all that serious - and and asked me, what if - he wouldn't be the ex? ...well he asked me to come home with him - just to watch LOTR all night and jam a bit - but I had a really bad concience. Now here I am - he's coming over on monday- or maybe not - don't know yet.
I like him - but I'm terribly confused. And I can't tell her!
This is soo wrong. I never ever betray friends - that's just not me.

Well....after we finally found a lounge that had actually opened we endet up sitting on a sofa - I'm drinking she- crying. From what she told me, Raffael, her boyfriend, acted totally irrational - but she didn't even think like that - She totally mopped her up.
He found excuses like, he expects to wake up happy every morning etc. - totally naive....last week everything was just perfect.
After like 2 hours I called some friends - and we kinda united to help her - so she at least stoped crying.
:( I hate this! I hate seeing her so down - cruzifying her self - and I hate choosing sides :(

People here seem to eat it all the time - something made of melted cheese - but we've also got chocolate-fondue ;) that's like heaven in the world of chocolate...but anyway: YOU gotta come skiing with us! My friends an I - we go every year: It's just about having fun - and getting down the hill - any how :P. AND it's all about rituals...(gang-party, Limes-Party, Newyears-Eve-Dance, Games and singing and playing (Just imagine a drunken pile of young people on the board/skiis, with the guitar in the left hand and the pocket flask in the right...hehe..no..;)
Don't worry -we'll take care of you. ;) Every year there's someone who can't ski - and at the end of the week - he's like the best of us ....(probably becaue we all got a hangover..)

Well I'm not a wonderchild - in the contrary - I've never been perfect at anything.
Me and my sis started playing the piano when we were bout 5 years old - she then went on playing the organ as well...
I didn't play the guitar before last september. I just started because our gitarist broke his finger and we had a little gig in october. So I had about one month to figure it all out - and been playing ever since. I just love music - and whenever I see an instrument - I try to play it. Told u about my family - my father is kind of a music geek and has this musical hearing - we kinda got that too. And he collects different instruments ;)
It's not all that difficult - once u have this other system in your mind it goes from alone.
Just trust your hearing - do not try and learn with notes - that's silly (lot's of people do it - but unless you're 5 years old - it just keeps you away from the real stuff) Just listen to a song - and try to play it - works for me ;) You do have the knowledge of the harmonic system, don't u?

Haha not just iPod users! I, for instance, am a totaly mac or iPod opponent - everything but Itunes. It seems really handy to burn playlists, get ur music in order etc.
When it comes to music player I've always used Creative - but since I got a SonyEricson cell I use that for playing music - comes quite handy.
So you had a musical day too? Was home alone today - so I used the quietness to play the piano and try my new strings on the guitar (I'm not getting used to them yet..) And also tried the double 6 - but my barré-chords won't work yet :(

yes...I gotta renew my profile...I did! Well I kinda made them sing Flowers in the window - since it has 2 tunes/voices - it was an excellent track to start with - I thought. But it turned out they wanted more "dramatic" songs - so I started them on LWCT - and they can't get enough of it - although I had to make a choire-version out of it - at the chorus..so I hasn't just 1 voice there..
And now they wish One night - but therfore I'd need a 5 string bass or....we could just tune up...but anyway I'm not quite sure how it'll work out...Just the faces change - thats the one they can best ;)

How does the writing process work with you? Do you write down some lines and afterwards you figure out a melody? Or just the other way round? Seems Fran did it that way with "Friends":... strange for me :)
Sina is proudly 7 (....or 8?) years old....which makes her...erm...49 years old..or even older? Never know how that works with thouse dog years. But she loves snow! Yeah I agree..I used to love those xmas traditions. I love the snow, the quietness and the excitment right before "xmas" starts...the music, the presents of course :p ...the feeling of safeness..but from a impartial point of view: my family really sucks...

I watched it with a (female) friend and we were both in a very silly mood (not drunk, I don't drink) - the guy (forgot his name) and that Hillary Duff girl are aaaawful actors, it's really almost painful to watch them. and I can't find the one great scene, it's not on youtube! people have no taste... (it's like this: this best friend - not-love-interest - of the female main character, a very goofy/nerdy/freaky guy, goes to a ball with her to impress a cheerleader, and he dresses up as zorro. and then sth happens and that girl he fancies is "in danger", so he climbs up the stairs, pulls out his sword and shouts (he's very thin and goofy, as I said): HAVE NO FEAR - ZORRO IS HERE! . afterwards, he gets the girl, for a night. lol. |
