Travis joined an all-star line up in North London for a charity gig to help raise money for Kosovan Aid. Although they were last on the bill, they had to soundcheck first - so Travisonline popped along to the Kentish Town Forum at 1pm...

Dougie and Neil were the first to arrive, closely followed by Fran, and finally Andy. The band ran through a few numbers, whilst Giles made everything sound good, and Neil tried to make his bass drum even louder!

The doors opened at 7pm, and the crowd were treated to Toploader, Chris Difford (playing without Squeeze for the first time in 26 years!), Paul Weller (complete with Damon and Steve from Ocean Colour Scene), and a fantastic acoustic set from Noel Gallagher, which kicked off with a cover of the Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony".

Dougie and Fran managed to push through the crowds downstairs to get to the bar, chatted with some fans, and then went back up to the balcony to watch Ray Davies (who was joined onstage by Paul Weller), and then a real crowd-pleasing set by Kelly and Richard from the Stereophonics.

Whilst the crowd danced to the PA, the stage was reset, and Travis came into view at 11:30pm. Fran stepped upto the mic and said "hello" to the crowd, before performing "More Than Us". The crowd sang along, and even a few lighters were held aloft! "Writing To Reach You" and "Driftwood" followed in quick succession.

After the melodic calm of "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?" - which Fran introduced as the next single to be released - the band changed up a gear for the fantastic "All I Wanna Do Is Rock". With Noel Gallagher dancing in the wings, Andy almost dropped his guitar after the strap broke during a particularly energetic solo! He managed to finish the song, and switched to his Les Paul for the sing-a-long finale, "Happy".

Leaving the crowd tired and smiling, the band said their "goodbyes" and left the stage for Noel Gallagher to close the evening with "Live Forever".

Wow this was one to remember!! It was such a loooooong gig! We had the best time and a great view stood on the steps near the bar above everyone and Fran kept acknowledging us! The gig was another one of the memorable ones! I met Robert Carlyle there which made my night as he's one of my fave actors! It was a great place to be stood on those steps because all the bands kept on walking past us so we had a great night of close encounters too! That night we ended up drinking in the Marriot with the Stereophonics! What a memory!!
