This was our first Travis Gig and mine and my husbands first time and first day in Australia so what a fantastic day that was. We had visited Australia to catch up with my son and his then girlfriend who is now his wife. "Driftwood" and "Why does it always rain" reminds me of the first time we met, as my son had been adopted as a tiny baby and we met for the First time on 11th August 1999 just as Travis were becoming well known.So you can imagine how emotions are at any rate under the circumstances. So here we are in Oz with my newly found son and his lovely girlfriend, going to a Travis Gig, and when they played both of these songs I was sooo happy, (thought I had died and gone to heaven) and we cried our eyes out, and I have ever since when they play these such poignant songs.
All of the 3 gigs we have been to have been brilliant but as you can imagine that surpassed them all. We are off to Australia again next year so Travis if you are planning on visiting there again can you make it in August when we can catch up again???
