  • in reply to: Question for non-native English speakers… #2015
    DANIBLU3001

Yes! Only when it comes to speaking. I’m still not very good because I lack practice, but I can understand everything. If I can understand a Scottish accent, I already consider that a victory!🤣😅 Besides, I think it’s beautiful, even though sometimes I don’t understand a single word when I hear it. 😄

That picture of yours became a Travis World Cup sticker, hahaha, he’s a legend!
When I saw him, I was trembling and I kept thinking, “That’s the guy who sets up the stage and the instruments!”😮😮

Just having this space and respecting it is great, I think. My native language is Portuguese (pt-br), and using translation technology in English helps a lot in expanding my repertoire along with reading.

Before, when I couldn’t read, I only looked at the images and words on Travis’s forum I knew very little, but now I can write and communicate better this time, and I’m loving everything.❤️🫂

I don’t know how to take care of plants at home, but here in Brazil, you just have to walk down the street and it’s easy to find some fruit trees, and also in some parks near my house there are avocado, jackfruit and acerola trees that birds and bats also eat.🦜🦇

I wasn’t thrilled, maybe because I saw a lot of news about them at the same time, and I’d already heard ‘Captain Beefheart Trout Mask Replica’ and didn’t find it strange 🤣🤣

Fran, any symptom, no matter how small or silly, is best investigated through age-appropriate tests and maintaining a healthy routine to be sure of what is happening. Health is serious business.

I’m curious,👀 but also embarrassed to ask 🫣 and find out what they think about IG TravisBrBand from Brazil memes because I’m the one who makes them.😅 And what’s their favorite meme?

in reply to: It’s World Cup day! #1344
    DANIBLU3001

Incredibly, I’m a Brazilian who doesn’t like or follow football (except when I’m playing video games), but in the good old days as a child I always cheered for Scotland, remembering you all, and I saw that own goal scored with the shoulder.
Here it’s still in its early stages, but I’ve already seen flags on houses, painted streets, and shops trying to sell World Cup-related items.
Overall, it’s a good opportunity to go out and join strangers and acquaintances, because here we like to celebrate just like you do. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️🇧🇷 🥳🎉🎉🎉🎉

I draw and am currently creating some images of them in a hand-drawn style to make a striking piece of art, and this takes time just to think about the image.

Fan art is a good way to get inspired since it’s something you love, but I prefer something more artistic and not something that looks like a souvenir with the band’s image. However, I’ve already tried printing them manually using copper foil, but they didn’t show up in the image.😆🤷🏻‍♀️

My advice is that the technique can choose you, and pay attention to how you feel while creating the art. I always make my memes of them with great joy in my heart and laugh a lot before posting.

    @Diana

Yes, tapioca is Brazilian in fact, Brazilian culinary culture has indigenous, African, European, and even Arab influences. Coming from Chile, the most easily accessible thing I see here are cherries 🍒

I’ve been vegan for 11 years, so everything I eat is meat-free. I like to make recipes with tofu, lentils for more practical fillings like sandwiches, and a typical dish called tapioca. I’ve also adapted family recipes to meatless versions, like beans and soup. I like to experiment with seasonings to vary things when I get tired of what I’m eating. I like to make smoothies with frozen fruit, and lately I’ve added Bruce Dickinson’s very practical recipe for oatmeal with papaya in the morning, which I can also make using avocado. I eat out at restaurants where you can eat as much as you want and in abundance hahahha🤰🏻🤰🏻🤰🏻🤰🏻
