Time flies!!! I think it was yesterday I was watching the Glasgow bus riding content on social medias.
So many memories holding in my heart… The time I joined the fandom on my early 20’s, the very-first time meeting and seeing Travis live in Santiago 2014 (seeing and waving at them again two years later in the same city holding my Pipe Dreams sign😂), hanging out with my Travis friends, living the show experiences with them… My inner fangirl is happy to live experiences I never thought I would live… This is what dreams are made of. I loved Fran having that orange hairstyle, please come back hahaha.

      Happy belated 2nd Anniversary, L.A. Times! 😅

This era will always have a special place in my heart as it is when I happen to fall down the Travis rabbit hole on YouTube and fell deeply in love with their catalogue as I made my way through all the albums.

For me, this album and the tour is really special. I had assumed it would just be another album, with absolutely no chance of seeing them perform live around here. “Gaslight” was a good choice for a lead single, but “Naked in NYC” was the track that really grabbed me when I first listened to the album and followed the whole era.🫶

I love this album so damn much ❤️ It will forever remind me of my dog, who was sadly put down almost a year ago now. I made a video of our last trip together with “The River” playing.

Am I the only one who finds LA times a bit middling? Its nowhere near the high standard of 10 Songs for me and feels a but rushed. Theres some stuff I really like, such as Bus, Gaslight, Raze the Bar and The River, but most of the rest if it feels pretty mid to me. I Hope You Spontaneously Combust and LA Times are downright terrible. I appreciate trying to do something different with Fran rapping, and I absolutely LOVE that he’s not afraid to be cringe, but its still pretty naff. Probably wouldnt have even been a b side back in the day.

It’s not a rap, it’s spoken word. And one of the standout tracks on this album, along with Alive and Bus.
It’s always nice to hear others’ connection and stories to the different records.
