Hey Travis friends. Lately I’ve been thinking about what keeps us going when things get hard. What’s one small moment, big or small, that makes you feel alive and reminds you it’s worth it? I’d love to hear your stories.

Ohhhh….Great question! To me, it can be so many things…Dancing, music, exercise, waking up and having something to do…friends, flowers, a storm, a hug, migratory birds, seeing plants grow, cyclical events in nature, having a hope…my kids when they behave well, my kids when they are silly…a glass of fresh water when I’m really thirsty…
Little pleasures of life.-

Nature, walking, music and film are great re-sets for me personally, I also think good cooking and baking gets you back on track – another good healer is water, whether that be open-water swimming or cold showers it’s Aquatherapy!! Nx

My son is away with his Dad for 2 1\2 weeks in France and Italy and thought it might be hard so decided to go on a solo trip for one of the weekends . As it was my first time I thought I would go somewhere I knew and went to Llandudno. Loved it. Quite happy to walk around in the day on my own and eat out reading a book. Spent 5 minutes in the arcade rather than 2 hours! Didn’t have to get food every 30 minutes and just enjoyed being me for a couple of days. So, what I thought was going to be hard, turned out to be a bit of a revelation for me that I can go places on my own when he is away. Utrecht next time – I have wanted to go there for a long time. Decided that when things might seem hard I can get away and do things I want to 😀

Walking in the forest, swimming and jumping in the sea, wearing something I made myself, reading a book, dogs and good food. Also agree with Neil on the baking – you can’t be sad while eating baked goods that are still warm from the oven.

Water, especially swimming in the pool helps me clear my mind and forget my body.
Listening to music in my room, alone.
Going to a concert I’ve been longed for.
Coloring.
A hug from someone I love.
Trying to be greatful because I’m alive and healthy.

Forgot to add hearing your cat purring while is laying on your lap or chest. Just bliss

I love these responses. 🥰
For me, it’s when I hug my kids. It’s when I feel the rush of the river against me. I love the smell of rain. It’s anything that helps me feel less alone in the world: music, books, movies, any good storytelling really. Oh and looking out of a plane- every time.

Art, music, and films I don’t know what life would be like without them. It’s hard for me to imagine living without them.
Making jokes and laughing until my belly hurts, or starting to cry while laughing.
Learning, reading, and being curious.
My cats, drawings, and celebrating small victories.
Making a special day, like a wedding day, for yourself. One I like is a spa day, where I treat myself from head to toe 🛀💅💇♀️💆♀️
