To answer your question: no
Yesterday our congressmen mailed us a letter telling he is the co-author of some bill to strengthen the right to bear arms. My husband and I got to talking about it and I said that while I am not pro-gun I really can't imagine that banning guns completely in this country would do any good at this point. You can't unring that bell. I mean, is everyone supposed to be trusted to just turn in their firearms?? Please.
But what I wish they would focus on is making standardized rules for who can get one, how long they have to wait, etc. There needs to be a national database so everyone's history is accessible. Getting this set up could have other uses too. (I know some people would argue that this is an invasion of privacy but if you've committed crimes I think you've forfeited some rights)
Also I think it's insane that people claim they need a semi-automatic rifle to hunt deers. Are they shooting back at you??
We also are really not comfortable with the concealed handgun thing. |

Yeah, I can't really fathom any point where the US is going to have stronger gun regulations. People love their guns. But it annoys me when people throw their arms up in the air and wonder why our country has the most gun violence. But then again people who want to kill will find a way to do so, with or without a gun.
No, I wouldn't keep a gun in my house. |

Yes, why not, if some fucker breaks into my house with a gun. I want to be able to have an even chance.
on a side note I think The Right to Bear Arms should be changed to The Right to Arm Bears...
