Hello everyone! I would like to tell you a story... :p
23rd August 2008 will always be a special day for me: that day I met Travis and saw them live in concert for the first time. This is my story:
23rd August, 2pm: I took a bus that 5 hours later arrived at the bus station in Bilbao. I waited for about 10 minutes there, cause I had to meet Rubén (TheRiverWithNoName) and his sister. We walked down San Mamés (Athletic de Bilbao stadium) and we started to hear music. We saw this:
So we went there and we saw some men playing the instruments. Five or ten minutes later, I saw Neil, Dougie, Andy and Fran. I couldn't believe they were in front of me! Then Sara phoned me and we met her as well as other boardies who were already there (Carmen, Aída, Christian, Min-chun, Eledh).

I really like it cause it's Rubén and me acting the fool while the boys were playing behind, haha.
Travis played some songs on the sound check that they won't play later, like Re-Offender and Friends. Cool :)
After the sound check Andy, Dougie and Fran met the fans. I had my head in the clouds, haha. So much happiness for me. Those people I admire were next to me.
I gave Fran The Invisible Band booklet. He asked me which part, the front or the back? I said: the back :p He asked me what my name was and if it was spelled with C or K. Lovely, haha. Then Andy signed and Dougie was the last one.
My new challenge then was to take a picture with Dougie and Fran, cause suddenly Andy disappeared, haha. I said, Dougie please. And he came at my side. I swear I felt sooooo good at that moment, hahaha. This is our picture with him:
Then a Spanish man said: ok, you have to go now. You already have a picture. And I said: No way! and went where Fran was, hahaha. After two vain attempts I got this photo:
Really happy :) One of the best moments of my life. But the best was yet to come. We had to wait 3 hours until the concert began, but time flew. We were laughing and chatting. I had so much fun with all the boardies, especially with Aída, haha. We talked about The Simpsons, Friends, Coldplay, uni... Hahaha. Pretty good.
And then the time had come. It was 12 am and the concert was about to start. I was very excited at that moment. Music started and then... Selfish Jean!!!!! Woo hoo!!!! So much energy. I really enjoyed Side. Fran played one part after "climbing up" Neil's drum kit, haha. Spectacular. Andy also climbed up in All I Want To Do Is Rock. This time he climbed the iron structure next to the big screen. I thought he was going to fall! Luckily he wasn't ;)
In Good Feeling Fran told us to shout Claes! Claes! Claes! on the solo, and he also showed us Claes' shoes, hahaha. Very funny.
Fran tried to speak in Basque, which I don't speak, haha. I had to ask Carmen what the hell he was saying, haha.
I loved the new songs. They're better when Travis play them "for you", haha.
When the concert was over I was like: Oh my God!!!! Such a great concert!!! I felt so happy I decided to go to Bilbao. Then we went to see the Guggenheim museum. And after walking for about 40 minutes (more or less) we went to the bus station. Buses we had to take departed from 7:30 to 8:30, for which we waited many hours and it was very cold, hahaha. We didn't get to sleep and I felt dead beat. At 8:30 I took the bus and I came back home at 3pm. I had lunch and then I had a siesta, haha. Only slept two hours though.
And that's how my Travis day ended: 10 hours in the bus but endless hours of happiness because of the band. I couldn't tell them thank you for making me happy, but in case some of them reads this, it was worthy to spend 10 hours in a bus just to see them.

Awww, Bodi I love your story!! I'm so glad you got to meet them cause you weren't very sure you could be able to do it, but it wasn't too difficult, was it?? ;o)
