Ok, so everybody has their own vices. Ever since I went on holiday this year, it seems that one of mine is doing karaoke. I can't explain it, it just is! So I was wondering - what's everybody's favourite karaoke numbers? There seem to be a few staple favourites, but I like some of the curveball ones. E.g. a guy called Steve Martin did the Hokey Cokey. Genius. So to kick this off, here's some of the one's we've been doing recently at Karaoke:
The Bee Gee's - You Win Again
Stevie Wonder - I just Called to Say I Love You
John Farnham - You're The Voice
MC Hammer - U Can't Touch This
Starship - Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now
Alice Cooper - Poison
Lionel Richie - Dancing on the Ceiling
So, what does everyone else sing when they're doing the dreaded karaoke?! |

Interstellar Overdrive - Pink Floyd
Windowlicker - Aphex Twin
Ending (an ascent) - Brian Eno
You're So Cool - Hans Zimmer
and my personal favourite...
4'33'' - John Cage
Dubz

a male friend of mine once did the most heart-breakingly funny version of "nothing compares to you".
another friend, also male, makes a big song and dance about getting the crowd to hush up and then explaining in a voice just above a whisper how this song says everything about a break-up he went through with a girl he loved.
enjoy!
any girl i know who has done kareoke takes it ridiculously seriously and are mostly painful to watch

People Are Strange - The Doors
Oh, Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison
Piano Man - Billy Joel

I have never done karaoke in my life! But my friend said for her next birthday we're getting a karaoke pod at Tiger Tiger...so lots of drink will be needed!
If you haven't heard of the karaoke pod its a room with a karaoke machine in (obviously) and you get multiple microphones and a tambourine! There's a button on the wall which you press to order more drinks so you have a waiter service as you get pissed laughing at your friends! |

I've done "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" by Pat Benetar a few times. Also Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man"
I'd do more but I can never convince friends to go to karaoke places. |

I've done karaoke two times in my life. Both of them we were a large group singing so it was a lot of fun and laughs and not that embarrassing.
We sang Mmmbop by Hanson once. The other time I did it it was the bachelorette party of a friend and we sang a very cheesy horrible cumbia song by a local artist xD. |

Looks like it's just Manchester at the moment but they'll probably introduce it to the other ones at some point. For the time being it looks like you'll have to make a special trip to persue the karaoke dream! |

:D
It's gotta be The Pointer Sisters!!! LMAO
Lyrics:
Tonight's the night we're gonna make it happen.
Tonight we'll put all other things aside.
Give in this time and show me some affection.
We're going for those pleasures in the night.
I want to love you, feel you, wrap myself around you.
I want to squeeze you, please you, I just can't get enough.
And if you move real slow, I'll let it go.
I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it.
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.
I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it.
And I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I want you, I want you.
(Piano Solo)
I want to love you, feel you, wrap myself around you.
I want to squeeze you, please you, I just can't get enough.
And if you move real slow, I'll let it go.
Let's get excited, and I just can't hide it.
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.
I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it.
I know, I know, I know, I know baby I want you.
I want to love you, feel you, wrap myself around you.
I want to squeeze you, and please you.
I'm so excited, can't get enough!
I'm so excited!
I have done: It's Raining Men, Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun, Foolish Games by Jewel (always a depressing/clear the room one) lol Ohhhhhh and my abso fav LOVE SHACK by the B-52's.
I told ya my taste in music is diverse! :-o

It takes a lot of work to get me to Karaoke, but when I do I will only sing Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. |
