I had to look it up on Wiki. I don't think we have that stuff here.

Well to be honest I can just about stand a little smidgen on a slice of toast. Is it possible to not like or hate it? Is that tolerating it? but then why do I tolerate it?

I prefer New Zealand marmite (which is similar, a bit closer to Vegemite though)

I also don't mind vegemite, though since it's australian that's probably not very patriotic, but tesco stocks it so I'm happy.

love the advertisements (do you still have the "love it or hate it" ads?),
but of COURSE I hate the stuff.
tried it for the first time in a host family, I was 15 and stupid, and the people all loved it, so... I felt I had to eat the whole slice of toast to be polite, and I had the taste on my tongue for MONTHS... ;P

uaah, and I saw you can buy it in SQUEEZY bottles now, too?! *eeew* ;)

Hated it then loved it when discovered it after a good night out well drunk, nothing could beat it on toasted muffins and butter...loved it so much tried to eat it once from the jar (!!) and had an overdose. So I can't eat it at all without beeing sick now but can just about eat a little bit of vegemite.

The squeezy bottles don't work and the stuff inside is more liquid, no good.

Personally I can't stand the stuff, but there's a huge fan in our household (my son). We always bring back several jars from England.

The local Marmite fan also loves peanut butter (I hate that, too), and I've seen him building a sandwich with them both with ready-cooked bacon strips and crisps…

Yes, he relished it ;^)

Marmite in Kaufhof, wow!! What next, mämmi?

Mind you, I saw a kind of Eastern European delicatessen in a small town in Yorkshire: Polish, Slovak etc. products on offer, weird. In the same town I've also seen a reptile shop, both in the centre.
