I don't really know. But it's an agreement between the universities and the State. There's a law on internships.
Not every intern gets paid (for example if you're a doctor and you're doing your residency), but I don't know how they establish which internship is paid and which one is not.
If you're an intern that works for the State, you get paid. In the case of the University of Buenos Aires, the sum total depends on how many subjects you've passed and how many hours you work. The closer you are to finish your career, the more you get paid. It's an incentive, which I think is great... when they actually pay you. |
