Ok, I just realized I made an oopsie.. All The Light We Cannot See is a limited series on Netflix, still good. So in its place I’ll add The Discovery, Amelie (same director as Delicatessen and City of Lost Children), and The Adjustment Bureau

Though I’ve loved Travis since the 90’s, I never had the chance to see a live show until Jan 25 2025.

    Set list:
    Bus
    Driftwood
    Love Will Come Through
    Alive
    Good Feeling
    Writing to Reach You
    Re-Offender
    A Ghost
    Side
    Closer
    Sing
    Selfish Jean
    Razer the Bar
    Gaslight
Naked in New York City (I don’t recall this being played)
Turn (though I fumbled it, I got your pick Dougie, lol)
Avalon (didn’t get played, though wish it had)
    We Are Monkeys
    Flowers in the Window
    Why Does it Always Rain

Don’t remember if anything else was added or subtracted, I just remember being super happy that I FINALLY got to see you play!

Definitely missing Elfi’s sketch of the day ☹️ I feel like it’s in my feed somewhere and I’ve overlooked it. *sigh* Ahhh, Andy… Thank you! It is missed, but thank you ❀️ But seriously, how has the year gone by already?

Hey Fran, how about a late October show in Glasgow? I’m planning on making a trip back for my grand 50th (Oof it’s surreal to read that, feels like it should be many many years from now πŸ˜†) and would be a wonderful way to celebrate the turn, and to also hear Turn which is one my absolute faves!

I still feel like newbie with plants though. I managed to have 8 pots of aloe die once. I was so upset and was trying to figure out what I did, and all I did was change out the soil. So know that as a newbie there will be trial and error with your plant babies. Look into plant apps, YouTube videos, general searching online for tips. You got this! πŸ’š

Believe me it hasn’t been easy to keep them all alive. I’ve had to repot countless times because the plant didn’t like the soil I chose πŸ˜† 2 peace lilys did actually die, but I experimented with trimming off the bad roots, coated the plant bulbs in rooting hormone powder, and buried them in new soil. So far they are coming back strong and beautiful! I have a 3rd, the Alocasia, I’m doing that with as well. It died within a couple of weeks of bringing it in. The bulb has been in the soil for almost a month now, just waiting for it to sprout 🀞

Great album! Moving and A Different Room are 2 of my faves from it. Moving, because I’ve moved roughly 30 times (for various reasons) as an adult nearly a half century old and am looking to move again. A Different Room, for various reasons, but it also reminds me of all these dreams I used to have about hidden rooms and doors that I could travel through

in reply to: What would you be if you weren’t an animal? #1790

Some sort of cryptid or other mythical creature, but those are technically animals I suppose. A walking tree perhaps? Anything strange, weird, or a little spooky is what I’d be

It was sad to hear. Haven’t seen his work in a museum, but learned about him in art school many moons ago

So many! Golden Pothos, Philodendron, Peace Lily, Snake, Lucky Bamboo, Thanksgiving Cactus, Aloe, Alocasia, Boston Fern, Thimble Cactus, and Arrowhead. I have 18 pots at home and 1 at work. All but 5 are rescues 😊

It’s happened to me but then stopped? It first happened when I was visiting Scotland in March. It was random, figured it was just me trying to figure out the weather there and wearing something too warm with the humidity and all the walking and then turning the heat on at night, or perimenopause, or actual menopause πŸ˜‚ Got worse after I got home to TX. Then I got strange bouts of vertigo which I stopped drinking for a couple of weeks to try to figure that out, and I haven’t turned into a nuclear radiator since. I think the temp pause in drinking was a factory reset? Time will tell
