Mine: Mexico City, february 9, 2004… One of the best night ever!!!

Back in the 90s, being a mexican fan, was almost impossible to dream about a Travis gig in Mexico. When the gig was announced, my sister and i Screamed out almost for a week. Wow, good old memories. We were on line in the Sport Palace at 9 am. We waited outside more than 12 hours, but, but it was worth it.
We were in first row…almost died. But it was the best night of my life. Who was there?

It was 2011 Rock n Coke Festival, Istanbul

I was on cloud nine, singing my lungs out and might have cried a bit 🙂 I had been a fan since ’99 so seeing them after 12 years was a bliss. Then I got lucky to be able to travel countries to see them

      Writing to Reach You
      Love Will Come Through

Mine was 2001 I managed to get to the front and Dougie posed for a pic but my camera back then was crap so it’s a bit blurred 😂 My parents got me the tickets for my 18th birthday and it was my first proper gig. My fave gig was seeing them at Dalby Forest North Yorkshire in 2007 The rain was mental, we flooded in Hull but the sun came out and the atmosphere was just brilliant.

Gig on the Green. I went down to stay with my two other pals in college. Once Marilyn Manson started we got split up in the surge. I was then a teuchter lost in the big bad city without a phone. Had no idea the address of my pals flat. Some random strange let me use their phone and I called home. My big brother turn called “Glasgow police” to report me as lost and asking what they were going to do about it. Meanwhile my pal had been trampled and pulled over the barriers by the volunteer paramedics. Her bag and clothes had been ripped off her and she had a black eye. He was taking care of her and she landed up in his end of shift debriefing. His boss said there was nothing else they could do with her and to send her on her way. He said “look at the lassie, she’s got no shooooooooooooooooooes”, he then sorted her out with flip flops from lost and found. She probably still has feet Chlamydia. Better than the cat aids I guess….

      Hi everyone,

My first Travis experience was 29 July 2000 at The Palais in Melbourne Australia. It was an amazing performance even if I didn’t have the best seats. I got to see them again a year later (2 August 2001) at The Regent Theatre (not a usual rock venue and Fran commented that it way posher than their usual venues) in Melbourne too.

I was so disappointed when they announced that they were touring in January this year and I was going to be overseas. I never thought they’d tour Australia again. I hope they come back again – I will be Row 1 Seat 1.

My first time was Barcelona 2024. A much anticipated dream that finally came true. I enjoyed every second, was standing between Dougie and Fran! It was really hot, in August, so I had brought a fan, and gave it to Dougie afterwards when they came out to greet us. I like to remember that day, still makes me smile. I got my picture taken with Andy and Dougie. Fran didn’t come out this time, I think he wasn’t feeling too well. We got a glimpse of Neil passing by in the distance.
They sounded great, I just love them.

Mine was April 15th, 2009 at the Gothic Theater in Denver. I have always said it’s my favorite concert, and I go to a lot of concerts. It was insane to see them touring one of their rockier albums in such an intimate venue. A peak experience of mine for sure. The setlist was amazing.

First time was seeing them open for Oasis in May 2000 but immediately bought tickets for their gig at TLA in Philly a week or so later, Leona Naess opened for them.

Setlist.fm doesn’t have the setlist for the TLA gig but this was the setlist for the Oasis opener:

Why Does It Always Rain on Me?
      Turn

Paris, Le Trianon, 8 May 2022. It’s great if your first concert live after Covid-21 is the one of your favourite band.

Bridlington Spa 2004, Me and hubby were really annoyed we missed the support band Keane because in-laws didn’t want to wait in the queue. We ended up at the back of the spa hall and I couldn’t see a thing because I’m vertically challenged
