Yeah, for me it’s always been about holding a physical thing. My record collection is big enough now that I often just spend a few minutes flicking through it and looking at stuff without even necessarily playing anything.

I understand things change and technology moves on but for me there’s nothing better than a physical release. If nothing else, at least you OWN the music and no one’s ever taking it away. Beyond that though, the whole ritual of opening it and looking at the artwork and everything, and the physical ritual every time of playing the record, is something that streaming will never replicate. It’s the whole reason why I still buy vinyl, nothing to do with that whole “it just sounds better” thing. I can’t tell the difference if I’m being honest.

I’ve got #033

Milk. I drink gallons of it. I think I might be part cow. There was an episode of Taskmaster, must have been one of the live tasks, where they had to put themselves in order of who drank the least to the most milk and they were astonished that Mike Wozniak was on about thirty pints a month. I remember thinking, “Eh…I’m at least double that.” 😂

Kind of related, I got back into listening to vinyl a few years ago after about twenty years away from it. I love it but I’ll never understand how vinyl works. Dragging a needle through a bit of plastic and music coming out is witchcraft.

Dougie, not only are we getting through the group. We’re putting England out. You heard it here first.

I never got to meet Dubz but we chatted a bit on Facebook and various other places. He was a good lad.

I saw an interview with Justin Currie from Del Amitri talking about that song. The players were supposed to provide backing vocals but the session didn’t go very well so the producer who was also working with The Supernaturals a few weeks later just got them to record them. There are some of the players in there but what you hear is mostly The Supernaturals. 😂

I feel like it would have been mental not to?

I was there! Mull of Kintyre was brilliant. That song was at number one when I was born.

Fran, I had a very similar experience with that album a couple of years ago. I gave it a listen again and felt like I maybe didn’t give it enough of a chance first time round or something because I enjoyed it a lot more than I remember doing.
My Eyes has always been special to me. jenny2 told me she was pregnant with our now fourteen year old twin girls and afterwards I took the dog for a walk, ut my iPod (remember them?) on shuffle and that was the first song that played.

Proper old school reunion! Hey Edel! Hey Esther! And hey Jenny but you’re only upstairs. Lol.

Went to see Dodgy the other week. They’re on top form these days. Summer Forever from their new album is getting a lot of play at the moment.

Whose idea was it to bring it back Andy? Felt like there’s been something missing all these years. I met my wife on here. There’s two kids upstairs right now that wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for you guys! Hahaha.
