There are quite a lot that deserve more recognition.
I’d say Travis are excellent at playing covers : the weight, all the young dudes, the urge for going are wow!
Albums: Coming around, Butterflies, Big Chair, I love you Anyways, Battleships, Valentine, Good day to die and many others that I can’t remember at the moment
A special place in my heart :
SOME SAD SONG (so beautiful it hurts)
    THE RIVER
LIFE AND SOUL OF THE PARTY
    BOXES
PAPERCLIPS ( I’ve always thought this one as a painful message to Fran’s dad but I may be wrong)

@Fran have you ever been to one of their concerts? I’ve been to some and they’re breathtaking, such a raw yet intelligent chaos!
Trent Reznor has a talent for building songs with complex structures without losing sight of quality. Not to mention the lyrics… have you listened to any of their albums?

    Hi @Fran and @Neil!
The machinist is one of the most dark thriller I’ve ever seen but it’s worth seeing.
Another film from a few years ago that is beautiful is THIS MUST BE THE PLACE by Sorrentino starring Sean Penn and It’s stuck in my mind ever since. It’s a film that deals with a lot of emotions. It explores how everyone deals with a significant loss, the success that can lead to isolation, revenge as redemption, and the searching for meaning in a disconnected world.
SPOTLIGHT by Tom McCarthy also is a very good movie even if punches you in the stomach
    Cheers xx

    Hi @Neil
Thanks for replying, you’re so nice! I haven’t heard of the homage about Wild Nights, I’ll definitely look into it. I’ve read a couple of Asimov’s books and none of Fleming’s , well at least I’ve seen all the classic Bond movies with Sean Connery when I was about 10 🙂
Hope the other guys will reply too , I’m curious to know!

It’s scorching hot here in Florence too🥵
Glad to know your friendship is still strong after 30 years and you enjoy playing together. True friendship is hard to find and you are lucky to have each other.

Thank you for this tip! Going to read it for sure!
I’m currently reading a book about Bowie “the stories behind the songs, 1964-1976 vol. 1” which I love ’cause I’m a big fan ❤️.
Hope someone from the band will answer to my question
    Cheers! X

Found this when the song came out:
Travis frontman Fran Healy, who put songwriting on the back burner after his son was born in 2006, had fatherhood on the brain when he wrote this tune from the band’s ninth studio album. “This is one of my favorite songs,” he told Apple Music. “It was not even going to be on the record because I was a little bit embarrassed about it, because it was too personal – and it was almost like a show song. It was about 7-year-old me saying to my mom one day, ‘Hey, mom, is there a dad shop? Can you go to the dad shop and get me a dad?’ I still wish there would be, because everyone needs a dad, and not a s–t dad. They need a good dad who’s going to be there for them, and be someone to rely on. I never had that. I didn’t realize how important a dad was until I became one myself.”

I’m a woman but yeah it also happens sometimes to me and it depends mostly by
1- gastroesophageal reflux (if you lies down it gets worse)
2- hormonal changes. It happens to men also, testosterone dropping down
    3- strain/anxiety
If you experience shortness of breath please get your heart checked, better safe than sorry!
    Hope it helps xx
