Don't like: Picker bushes.
I have spent the last hour or so cutting down a big picker bush in my yard.
"A picker bush in your yard?" you ask.
Why yes, it was the fashion in the late 50's when my house was built, to plant picker bushes.
"Why?" you ask.
To punish the second generation of homeowners is all I know.
I wore protective clothing and was very careful and managed to get stuck only about 500 times and develop a jolly good blister on my middle finger. I have all the branches cut off, just stubs left. I think I need a husband-type person to finish the job. This is the last of the several picker bushes that were planted around my house. Only very old people who have been in their houses since they were built still have the famous picker-bush landscaping. Once when I was a kid, I jumped off someone's porch and missed my target and landed smack dab in the middle of a picker bush. I could not move at all. Dad had to come and rescue me. Not fun. Hate picker bushes. This one flowers in the spring which is why I have allowed it to stay, but it's not worth it.

Ooh I'd also like a bed that didnt heat up ever so it was always cool, like the other side of the pillow! Coz it's far too warm for bed, all that tossing and turning. Ugh. |
