The wee boy was 5 months and a couple of weeks old.
It wasn't a shock, really. He suffered from a very nasty disease called spinal muscular atrophy type I. However, it's just not possible to be prepared for such an untimely death. It feels so wrong, so terribly unjust.
My manager sent me home from work and yeah, I can't sit there bawling my eyes out. But now I don't know what to do with myself. |

God bless you, darling. i'm sure it is tough, but it is probably better than living with the disease itself. a lot of people have trouble letting go of their loved ones, even their pets, but you have to think "is it better for them to live in pain or to go to a better place"
i wish you the best and hope all goes well.

So sorry to hear that Hanne.
Even though you knew of the problems he had, nothing prepares you for when the time comes. |
