I have an old man crush on John Furlong. But not at his attempt at speaking the french language.

the closing ceremonies have been kinda ridiculous, but I love that rather than trying to dismiss any Canadian stereotypes, we just completely laughed at ourselves. Mounties! Mooses! hockey players!

Except who the eff let Nickleback perform? Maybe its more of that laughing at ourselves bit? Haha, look at this
horrible band? maybe?

edit: oh good lord. and now it's avril lavigne. Who I dislike even more than Nickleback! But I do like that all the Canadian athletes are wearing my sweater.

lol, yeah, our streets were shut down here too! There were so many people! it was so incredible! And you know, I think it all has to do with me taking your advice and eating a Canada donut just before the game...

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Hi Canadian boardie :) Today is just super, isnt it?
Donut is key to success. I of course had mine today as well.

I think im going to watch the goal and celebration one more time and then go to bed. When I wake up there will be no more Olympics :(
What did I talk about/watch before this?

big deal, with 216 athletes out there to get them for you ;P
so, 37 medals for 216 athletes... that makes... roughly... 0.17 medals per athlete ;P

(Germany's quota would be about 0.2, which isn't much better, I guess ;D)

Yup because coming second and third is far more important than coming first.

Give them their glory, there will be plenty time for you guys in 2012.

37 medals is an impressive haul tho'.

robots dont wear makeup

I just noticed that there are cans of Molson Canadian behind them. Quality.

Couldnt have gone for the bottles though? hmm, probably not allowed glass bottles in the arena now that I think of it.

Are you for real, Kristy Bear? Ahhh! OK! New rule: No Crosby pictures on this board.

Thank you.

it isnt a picture of Crosby. It is a picture of the person who scored the winning goal for my country.
And it was just to annoy Ric.

I woke up this morning and thought, wow. We beat the US, in overtime, on home soil for the gold medal. Every once in a while, things work out just the way you wanted. That's pretty effing cool.

ps- Nik, remeber how I said Stevie Y looked lovely in his grandpa cardigan? He was also rocking a 3 piece suit at the game yesterday. Delish.
