I thought I'd start this thread for people who want to lidt their Highlights or Lowights of 2009, I know there are still a few weeks to go but...

For me Gig of the Year has to be Mogwai in the Academy it was purely amazing with a fantastic setlist. Close runner up would be The Specials however I may be making more of that as I had only waited about 25 years to get to see them.

Lowlight would be The Butterfly Explosion... crap, very disappointing.

Ohhhh good idea Dubz! :-)

Lowlights:
- Disasterous New Year
- End of a difficult and patchy relationship
- Moving out of my own home and packing up all my belongings
- Experiencing a sucky fake friendship filled with lies
- Being diagnosed with something icky

Highlights:
- Moving on from said relationship and reveling in being Single. (1st in a long long time)
- Moving in with my niece and great nephew (I get to see him everyday and he brings a huge smile to my face everytime I see him)
- Seeing/hearing Daniel (great nephew) walk and speak for the first time.
- Making loads of new friends
- Feeling so carefree/loved/happy and just a general sense of wellbeing that I haven't felt in a long time.
- Restored relationship with my parents
- Reading lots of awesome books
- Joined the Gym!
- Really enjoying my work and seeing other people happy
- Keeping the faith that things really DO get better and when bad things happen I can look back and go that really wasn't such a major catastrophe as I thought :)

Overall it's been a super duper great year. Gone through alot but it's all for the better and bigger good and I have learnt alot.

Good idea for a thread.

Kristy, for a lowlight you forgot "saying goodbye to Anne"

Highlights:
-ABC

-Seeing all my hard work pay off when my choir show went really well

-Making progress towards paying off our debt

-Seeing both kids thrive and grow in their own ways and knowing how absurdly lucky I am

-Andy playing "Ancient Train" for me

Lowlights:
-Going through a hell surgery and having the post-op work go terribly. I am so sick of 1-3 appointments a week. I am so sick of braces. I am so sick of my jaw still being weird.

-Annoying family drama

We met?
I remember a teeny little thing who made me wear high heeled shoes down a grass hill. And an excitable little dude with happy hands, but...we met???
