I'm with Lilly about Brezen, they're the best, and I miss them from Munich.
I have a friend from Cologne who studied with me in Passau and didn't like most of the bread from the local bakeries. Something about the type of dough.
I think bread is never quite right if it's not from home :)
I will try and bake Brezn (for the first time) in a few weeks - I just hope the recipe I got is genuine ;) |

I don't think I'd miss anything from the area where I lived, but I'd miss personal stuff, like my collection of trees planted in my garden- how sad is that? lol :-P
I certainly wouldn't miss the weather... |

I forgot one thing. I'd also miss mate.
It's pronounced like "matt" + the "e" sound in "check"... or something like that xD. I've seen that some people write it "maté" in English, but "maté" in Spanish means "I killed", so I won't write it with an acute accent :oP.

Haha, wouldn't that be cool! Not sure how well it would travel though.......!
Don;t they have any little british bakeries near you? We have lots of them here, we can even get things like blackpudding... |

The thing that I would miss the most would be how green it is here. I don't think I could live in a place that didn't have lots of trees, is close to the beach, and pretty near the mountains. Also, the weather. Most people here don't like it but I love how it usually (except for this past summer) doesn't get to hot. I like the rain too.
Food wise, I would probably miss the availability of fresh seafood. And garlic fries at Safeco Field. |
