| Phew- while I was kind of rooting for him, I was also a bit worried that my dear David Walliams would be the new Dr. Who. He was supposedly on the short list. I'm a huge fan of his, but I couldn't honestly see him playing the part. |

I live in italy. So I don't watch british tv. Not when they announce those things.
And, honestly? I didn't want to know.
It's a spoiler. For me it is.
And if tv is saying the name and showing the pictures doesn't mean it's not.
So... :)
For respect you should change the title.
Put the word "spoiler" in it instead the name of the new actor. Someone doesn't want to know.
And you're forcing them to know.
And that pisses me off.

Does knowing it's 'Matt Smith' make any difference anyway? Noone knows who he is. :S

Well you've pretty much summed it up right there. They have to go with an unknown as there will be too many pre-conceived ideas with someone better known. Right now he does not look like a Doctor, more like an assistant. He must have quite an original approach that Moffat (the most brilliant writer) wants him. So I'm trusting it will be good.
As for the current Doctor, last night I showed my mate the Blink episode (which he wrote) and she'd never seen the show. She was well creeped out but impressed haha. Highly recommend this epi. |
