Q magazine is shite. they lost all credability when they started putting fucking Blobby Williams and bastarding Kylie Manure on the cover. NME isn't much better, Uncut and Mojo are going the same way unfortunately although theydo good freebie CDs.
btw I seriously recommend you get a hold of Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space once more there are much more fantastic tracks than the title track, Broken Heart, No God Only Religion and Come Together are stand outs for me.

I see Lastfm have a new thing called Best of 2008. It's well emmmm interesting as it is based on scrobbles only. You guys should check it out.

| I went to see Vampire Weekend last night...by far the oldest woman there (save those chaperoning their kids!). Cute, fun, enjoyable band. I'm not sure if they'll be able to follow up the magic of their 1st album but I hope so. They're an interesting band. |

I would have had more, but I didn't get a chance to go to the record store that much this year, so I didn't listen to all that many full albums, sadly. Next Year!
Did you see woxy's list yet?
97 best of 08
Which is based on airplay. (Vampire Weekend wasn't eligible because they were in the top 20 last year.)
My Morning Jacket took the #1 spot! It was getting up near the top of the list and I thought for sure Ra Ra Riot was gonna take it, but they got #3 which is still awesome :D I need to own that Dead Confederate album though. *plans record store trip this weekend* |

Yeah, I did listen to it! I was so excited when MMJ took the top spot! Death Cab was pretty high on their list this year too. I need to go back and listen to the whole thing though. |
