I couldn't have asked for a better gig to end this year than tonight's OASIS!! Old songs like my favorite "Masterplan" and "Don't Look Back in Anger" got me choked up... okay, I must be getting old :-P
Enjoyed the new songs, and pleasantly surprising were the songs from DBTT that were even better live. The lads were in good form tonight! God bless the brothers Gallagher. |

My husband went to an xfm gig at the Brixton academy on tuesday night and saw the Kaiser C amongst others all very good. But he's been very impressed by Ida Maria, norwegian artist, new album out since september. She's apparently a bit bizarre but very good. |

I just got three tickets for myself, my Mum & my Dad to go see Bob Dylan at the SECC in May. Can't wait! |

well, when I say 'got tickets' I did the physical act of buying them. Then when my dad found out, he paid me off for them already. haha. So I should say, my dad has now bought me a ticket to see Bob Dylan, and he and my mum are going too! |

I really hope you guys have a great time and Dylan isn't in one of his "moods", my mate has seen him in Dublin 3 times, first time he came on and did lots of obscure stuff, second time he did pretty much a crowd pleaser all the classics etc. Third time he came on with some girl he had "discovered" played two unknown songs with her before disappearing off stage and letting her finish the whole gig on her own. Decent man especially at €100 a pop for bloody tickets, however when he did the "hits" gig my mate reckons it was one of his best gigs ever, plus he can now boast seeing Dylan something which I cannot, He is one I'd like to "tick off the list"
Have a good one !!!

Cool pics! Whats the beef with Travis & Coldplay fans anyway? Both bands are great mates as far as I know and Coldplay even slipped in 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me' at the SECC last night during Green Eyes (which was played right in front of me :). I love both bands!

haha, I had exactly the same chat on the phone to my mum. It'll definitely go one of two ways - either full of classics and a storming gig, or obscure stuff and we're left wondering what we paid for. As you say, it's definitely one to tick off the list. Only other proper 'legend' I've seen live is James Brown. Just to say I saw Bob Dylan will be enough I think. |
