Oh, by the way, I almost forgot to mention – the fact that Masamune Kusano is a Travis fan is such a piece of niche knowledge! Just as you said. 🤓

kawaguchiさん、Thank you so much for all the great recommendations! 😊I’ve actually heard most of the artists you recommended, except DYGL – those I haven’t listened to yet. I really love Japanese music, you guys are incredibly talented.
But here’s something I must tell you – we’re on the Travis forum because of their wonderful music, and what a coincidence: my username “SumireSailon” actually comes from Hata Motohiro’s song “Sumire” (スミレ), which is the theme song of the Japanese drama スミカスミレ starring Mirei Kiritani (桐谷美玲) and Mitsuhiro Oikawa (及川光博). Please do give it a listen!
And “Sailon” is from Noel Gallagher’s solo band song “Sail On”, hahaha.
Isn’t it funny how our love for Travis brought us together, and then my name turn out to have such connections? It’s been a real joy. 😸
Thanks for the Travis forum that allows us to connect.🥹

ちなみに、最近特に好きな曲は、The Cure の “Trust” と、Ride の “Light in a Quiet Room” です。
もしよろしければ、ぜひあなたの素敵な音楽の趣味も教えてください。きっと私の音楽の幅を広げてくれると思います。音楽の話ができて本当に嬉しいです。😊

Wow, just a small room with a few sandwiches – that really says something about how down-to-earth they’ve always been. No rockstar fuss, just genuine kindness. And your story about wearing a Travis T-shirt to a festival full of goth kids and black tees? That really made me smile 😂 Two completely different worlds, yet somehow you were right there in the middle of it all. Thanks for sharing these lovely memories – really enjoyed reading them!

That’s amazing – so jealous of all those meet-ups! And that photo on the album is beautiful. Best wishes to you and your wife 😊11/06/2026 at 19:56 in reply to: Film Book Game Recommendations-please share if you feel like it. #1495sumiresailon
Hi @Jorge_E_aka_ricv64
Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed post – and for recommending five films! I really appreciate that. 😊To be honest, I’m not sure how to post links or images properly on this board either. Maybe it’s easier to just describe things in words, like you did. That works perfectly.
I’ve heard of 100 Yen Love (the one with Ando Sakura) – I know the title but haven’t watched it yet. The other four films you mentioned are completely new to me, so I’ve added all of them to my watchlist. Thanks again for sharing!😸

Salute to whoever started this board – such a cool idea. 👍
It reminds me of a Japanese mobile game, Travel Frog (Tabi Kaeru, by Hit-Point). You pack your frog’s little bag, send it off, later it sends back travel photos. That‘s the same lovely, wandering feeling this board gives me.
Huge thanks to @Sirius for sharing the board story, and to @almond for the memories – too bad the video link didn’t work🥺Appreciate you both!

Lovely story – thank you! I bet your scarf was great, Dougie would’ve loved it. And I absolutely agree, the boys are so nice. They deserve it. ヾ(≧∇≦*)ヾ11/06/2026 at 17:00 in reply to: Film Book Game Recommendations-please share if you feel like it. #1385sumiresailon
Thanks for the recommendation! I looked up “Mussolini: Son of the Century” on our rating site (Douban) – it actually has very high scores there. Sounds really interesting. I’ve added it to my watchlist. Appreciate you sharing this! 🙂
