I remember this night well, because I ended up meeting the boys... but I must admit, I don't remember the setlist as it was a long time ago! All of the "Good Feeling" tracks, I should imagine. As always, Travis were excellent - they are always brilliant live, which is why we used to follow them even in the early days.
I do remember, though - that there weren't many people there... in fact the same people were always at the early Travis gigs. There were always me and my 3 mates, some bloke who said he was a photographer and that he wanted to take photographs of me (weirdo) - and some girl who had a really cool black bobbed hair style, but who danced like a crazy woman!
Anyhow, following the gig - my friend and I were leaving, and we passed a shady looking bloke in a corridor. He glared at us and said "Don't even THINK about going through this door.." and we realised that he was stood in front of a door that was hidden in the wall. Then he walked off. So OF COURSE, we went through the secret door in the wall.
It was a bit disappointing at first.. just a boring old corridor, but just as we turned to go - Franny came out. Of course he recognised us from the gig - because, like I said there weren't many of us there. So we had a little chat, and he invited us into their dressing room, where we met the rest of the band. Then, following a few drinks Fran, Dougie, My mate Becci & I, and some other bloke went around Liverpool and had a few drinks. They were really lovely, genuine blokes and it was a good night.
