I'd like to learn how to win the lottery so I can retire.....and I'd like to learn where GotChrist has been for nearly one year (and why I remember that he hasn't been on in a year).

A stick shift is a manual transmission on a car, where you have to use the clutch and shift the gears yourself. Forget that!

Not many cars still have manual transmissions here. Most people learn on an automatic nowadays.

Ha ha that's what I am learning at the minute! Seriously it's piss easy, once you get the co-ordination! Personally I wanted to be on the other side of the car as using my left hand to change gears feels too weird! Automatic would be so much stress free....then I wouldn't have to worry about "biting points" on the clutch! :)

I dont think I could ever drive a manual. Im not very co-ordinated! I will take my lovely automatic anyday, thank you. 2 feet for driving...no! It would be like when i was 10 and trying to drive a go kart and didnt know you were only supposed to use one foot and would press the gas with one and the brake with the other at the same time and crash into things.

I remember going to the US for a holiday with my aunt when I was 14 - and (as my mum was driving a Japanese automatic back then) I was the one who had to explain how to use the automatic gear in our rental car ;D

I'd like to learn about electricity, like how to do wiring in houses. Or just more about home maintenance in general. I'm always having to call my step-father to help us with projects. I'd like to be capable of doing things on my own.

Same for me. Except for we call our building maintenance guy. I'd also like to learn how to do basic home remodeling like retile floors/walls, replace cabinets/sinks... and generally be one of those HGTV dorks. :)
