Well, by 'my' I mean my media & cultural studies group. We did a 5-ish minute holiday programme spoof on Morecambe (a seaside resort in North England) a few months back. Check it out here!

I don't know if it will be so funny to people who don't know Morecambe but, well, its in need of a bit of rejuvenation to put it politely. We had a lot of laughs making it.

I made all the music by the way, and did my share of camera work and editing. :)

Lol, I'm missing some of the Morecambe inside jokes, but that's really slick and professional looking, whilst also being quite amusing. How many bird statues do they have?!

I passed through it a month ago. It truly is where people go to die.

Over 5000. That figure may or may not have been made up. http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x66/Jearoon2/Smilies/10-Tongue.gif But they do genuinely have loads. Its worrying.

cult 202 eh?
nice one luke, nobody will every cop on to that...good work comrade.
pigeon chasing looked liked lots of fun.
on a side note i am disturbed by the obliging bar-staff wearing "blow" t-shirts who "are willing to satisfy your every need"

Ah yes, cult propaganda. Everything is going according to plan. ;)

Well done on spotting the blow joke, not everyone sees it. :P There are quite a lot of subtleties in there actually. Something I find funny even though we didn't spot it until editing is the casino burgalar. Check him out on the left of the screen at around 1.40. xD

Yes pigeon chasing was fun. We got lots of pigeon footage but sadly we couldn't squeeze it all on to a 5 minute documentary. Maybe we'll use the extra footage in an hour long documentary entitled "Morecambe's Favourite Sport: Pigeon Watching".

Cheers all for comments.

The music I did for the Cartleton night club scene became quite famous in my group lol. It sounds like something from a really cheesy 80's sci-fi film, so I called it '2064' and put it on myspace along with three others of similar (OTT cheesy) style. Well, Searching For Glimmers is a bit different actually, I was gonna make it into a 'proper' song with singing, but didn't really know how to make it work.

Anyway, I randomly called myself 'Flamefoot'. Here's the profile. http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x66/Jearoon2/Smilies/9-Grin2.gif

The saddest thing is, I actually like listening to them. :P

I never realized that I could afford a beachside holiday overseas, but now I see how economical it can be. Looks like it would be fantastic for the children, too.

Ha ha! Very funny video!

I think he may be right.

That was really funny. I went back and didn't spot the burglar you mentioned at 1:40.

My fav part was the night club scene. Please tell me those girls were not part of the project and were just random girls dancing in a seemingly empty club.

The Smiths song Every day is like sunday was inspired by Morecambe.

Give it a listen on youtube.

It is very apt.
