Setting night time , Big Stars song nighttime is playing over the goosey 84 production credits . In big gold letters too
A taxi is driving down mission street , it stops at the corner of 22nd , by the Popeyes fried chicken place , mmmmmmmmm grease . the back door opens , juli exits the cab glances down on a slip of paper and leans towards the driver
Juli - (puzzled ) " This the place ?"
the taxi speeds off
Juli - ( angry towards the speeding cab ) - " fuckin asshole piece of shit " ( then to herself puzzled ) " this is it ? "
Camera pans towards accross the street , The 12 Galaxies . The marque reads Ingrid Agro Metal punk presenta Oranger / Paul C , and to be announced. Juli walks accross the street in the crosswalk and heads towards the door.
doorman - "12 dollars please mam and I need to see I D "
Juli - " mam I'm only 24 ? "
doorman -" Sorry boss Ingrid runs a tight ship too many underage drinkers here "
Juli - " Ingrid in tonight we're old friends ?"
Doorman - " should be in her office "
Juli- " where's that ?"
doorman - " bar upstairs , you an old friend ? then no charge "
Juli - " sure we're old friends you trust me ?"
doorman - " you try and stiff Ingrid , you get stabbed in the face "
Juli- (laughing ) - my kinda of boss , move fuck wad "
She walks in , a small combo is setting up , it's still early and dead , the hipsters haven't crowded in yet . the bartender nods she stops
(Almas' bro) Alejandro - " hoya Juli long time no see looking for Ingrid ?"
Juli - " you got it daddy-oh "
Alejandro pointing ( towards the stairs ) - up there turn Sharp she's checking the till upstairs before the rush comes in "
Juli - "Thanks , we'll talk later and catch up "
She climbs the stairs turns , Ingrid is talking to the light man
Ingrid - "Cut the head lights it needs to be dark for the hipster yuppie scum to mingle "
Lighting guy - " yes "
Juli silently walks in on the conversation , Ingrid stops and looks, grins
Ingrid ( laughing ) - " Please don't kill or hurt anyone while you visit my place, take em out side and around the corner "
Juli- " only if they're she devils I'd take care of em here , whats new ?"
Ingrid - " Nada y mas nada "
Juli- " OK I'm talking straight up seen my sister ?"
Ingrid - " wow , no fooling around , but no . Megg neither "
Juli - " I see enough informal lets sit and talk , still seeing that headbanger ?"
they both laugh
Camera pans back down the stairs Alejandro is on a phone goes out the door and down the street and turns at the Wells Fargo , walking up the street Ale and Esteban , his phone rings he answers .
Esteban - "Hello "
Alejandros (voice ) - "Juli's here "
He hangs up and turns to Ale ,
Esteban - " your sister is in town "
Ale - " uber bummer , it woulda been totaly neato to catch this show "
Esteban- " you picked up this lingo pretty quick lets get some pho , i'm craving hot peppers "
Ale - " well when in Roma get groovy to the max , Yeah soup is cool then we gotta cut out "
Esteban- " I wonder if juli is here for us or Megg ?"
Ale - " probaly both Juli don't like to lose "
cuts to Juli and Ingrid drinking |
