who did the original?
Velvet Underground , on LOADED , but the version the Cowboy junkies do is off the Live album which would be hard to find , maybe
I love the Cowboy Junkies version...I didn't even know it was a cover! |

Iron & Wine's cover of "Chelsea Hotel" is quite good.

Good one. Speaking of Lauryn Hill, I also like the Fugees "Killin' Me Softly" better than the original.
Others off the top of my head that haven't been mentioned yet, hmmm...10,000 Maniacs/Natalie Merchant, "Because the Night Belongs to Lovers" and I think I like U2's new cover of "Instant Karma" better than the original by John Lennon.
And since you all know I'm a dork and like BBMak, lol, I'll throw in their version of "More Than Words." :) |
