Can you think of any meals which are really delicious, but the appearance of them make you puke. I know one Turkish traditional meal, called "Sirdan",which looks really really disgusting, but believe me, you have to try it :D

That looks horrid!
We have a Easter dessert called "Mämmi". It's really good, but most foreigners don't want to even try. I wonder why?

I have one that both looks and sounds disgusting when discribed, but it tastes wonderful!! It's the Polish dish called kiszka. It's basically stuffed intestine with a filling made from a combination of meat and meal, often a grain. The Eastern European kind is a blood sausage made with pig's blood and buckwheat or barley, with pig's intestines used as a casing. It's similar to black pudding. I fry it up with bacon and eat it with toast. Mmmmmmm!

We have that... or at least, something very similar. It's called morcilla, and it's a classic in argentinian bbqs. :o)
Btw, I think that Turkish dish wins for worst looking food ever!!! |

Black sausage is everywhere! This is a speciality of Tampere:
Mustamakkara is made by mixing pork, pig blood, crushed rye and flour, after which it is stuffed into the intestines of an animal like most sausages. It's served with lingonberry jam |

I just googled "morcilla" and it exists almost everywhere, you're right.
Kristy, I'm sorry for being so ignorant, especially since I've read about Poutine countless times on the board, but what is it??

We have these things in my country called Bunny Rabbits.
As you can see, vile disgusting things to look at. But they taste nice in a stew. |
