Kristy has left back to Canadaland. :( When she got in her car and turned it on, the song "In My Life" was playing and it was perfectly timed at the part when the lyrics go "some are gone"...it was funny, yet sad. WE MISS YOU ALREADY, KRISTY BEAR. *tear*

Kayte and I are spending the night. We fed a big giant swan bread. We named him Moray. Now we're going to light firecrackers. :)

Later!

Decided not to spend the night after all, since I had already soaked up all the evening fun and would have to leave at the crack of dawn anyway. Made it home in one hour and ten minutes flat!

My family enjoyed the boat ride. Max was a little unsure at the beginning, but ended up loving it. Rachel went swimming in the freezing cold water and dug up clams with her feet. "Clams have to stay at the cottage, dear."

S'mores were yummy! Although, I must say, plain ol' golden brown toasty marshmallows can't be beat. I like plain food.

Games! Sing along! Fireworks! Who could ask for anything more?

Saw lots of big giant birds at the lake. Watched the swan family eat bread, saw a goose family with fuzzy baby goslings from a distance and a...whatever it was eat a fish.
Saw an opossum on the way home. It was eating something in the middle of the road. Those things creep me out, they look so other-worldly.

So, now I am home and ready to lay down on my nice cool pillow. G'night.

Im home :(

The drive was longer than expected because of construction and detours. Nik, did you get my text? I made a 'Michigan U'!

Yes, that was perfectly times music, wasn't it? Im sad that I missed feeding the swany and fireworks. I hope everyone still has limbs.

Thanks for the fun weekend girls! Miss you already!

Im uploading pics now. Will be up soon.

PS-the border control people were nice to be this time. Americans dont want me in their country, but Canada will take me back
PSS- driving down Michigan Ave in Dearborn gives me the impression that it is the strip club/adult video store/motels you rent by the hour capital of the world

I wonder if Anne has been able to get her puncture wound to stop bleeding after the stabbing incident. I'm sure she'll be fine.

I did almost die in the night but Brian did an emergency blood transfusion; Nikki donated her blood (since she is a WPP we are compatible)

Kristy it's very rainy right now so the hammock wouldn't be so fun.

I am looking at the geese on the lawn right now. They say hi.

Oh it was a heron that Kayte saw flying.

I'm home, ladies! Thanks for the English muffins and coffee this morning, Anniqua. And thanks again for letting us all stay and hang out at your place. I had a blast all weekend. It was so great to see y'all again! :) I'm just uploading some more pics. Will post 'em in a minute.

Kristy, I'm so happy for you that you got to make your very first Michigan U. I didn't get your text though. Dumb phone!

Can we all just live on a little boardie Island and not have to actually do real life stuff...like work. Yeah, that'd be great.
