I started listening to the Amelie soundtrack once again, and have just remembered why I bought it to begin with. It's utterly amazing and suits the movie very well. Yann Tiersen is definitely a genius at what he does.
I also think that the soundtrack to Almost Famous and the Royal Tenenbaums deserve a nod. They are fantastic, but then again, I think that soundtracks from Wes Anderson films never really disappoint.
Opinions? Soundtracks you'd like to recommend? [And please don't say Garden State, I'm utterly sick of that sucker].

I love the soundtrack to Amelie. Other favourites are Edward Scissorhands, Moulin Rouge, Little Miss Sunshine. I once saw Michael Nyman play live, he wrote the music for The Piano and The End of the Affair. At the moment I really want to soundtrack to Breakfast on Pluto.

Definitely can't forget about High Fidelity. Awesome soundtrack and movie.

And Seu Jorge is amazing. His covers of Bowie are really just brilliant [and that's saying a lot for me because I'm really picky and critical when it comes to covers].
