I started listening to the Amelie soundtrack once again, and have just remembered why I bought it to begin with. It's utterly amazing and suits the movie very well. Yann Tiersen is definitely a genius at what he does.
I also think that the soundtrack to Almost Famous and the Royal Tenenbaums deserve a nod. They are fantastic, but then again, I think that soundtracks from Wes Anderson films never really disappoint.
Opinions? Soundtracks you'd like to recommend? [And please don't say Garden State, I'm utterly sick of that sucker]. |

I love the soundtrack to Amelie. Other favourites are Edward Scissorhands, Moulin Rouge, Little Miss Sunshine. I once saw Michael Nyman play live, he wrote the music for The Piano and The End of the Affair. At the moment I really want to soundtrack to Breakfast on Pluto. |

Definitely can't forget about High Fidelity. Awesome soundtrack and movie.
And Seu Jorge is amazing. His covers of Bowie are really just brilliant [and that's saying a lot for me because I'm really picky and critical when it comes to covers]. |
