If done right it could push Ode into the top 10. I mean, nobody's got it yet! lol Unfortunately I don't think it'll chart top 40, because I don't think they'll promote it enough.

But how much promotion is the ever-sought-after 'enough'? They dont want to pour thousands of pounds into prime-time TV adverts given that they're not too keen on being well-known anyway. I saw an interview that Fran did and you could see how chuffed he was that J. Smith was number 1 in the indie charts so it must be a bit disappointing for them to see the non-event that is Ode's chart position. I think it's important for us to spread the word to potential fans and gradually infect the population. Only in a good way :D

Just more really. More would be a start. It would be nice to see Ode climb the charts. Maybe it's chance has gone. Didn't we see recently that Jools was back in April. Probably run through into June. Wossie should be back by then. Maybe they can push the next album a bit more, if this new album thing is all true which i have serious doubts about. lol :)

It might help STS's chart position that there isn't usually many new singles out in the 1st week of January. It's better than being swallowed up the week before Christmas like The Beautiful Occupation was.

It would be great if Jools booked them for the Hootenanny.

It looks like it might be down to us fans to spread the word about how great Song To Self really is.

Not officially, is it? At least not in UK, US etc. Was the first Song to Self single released in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (did the list go right?) the middle-8 version? M8 was in the album previews, but it was changed to the final version.

Correct me if I'm wrong and confused!

Ordered earlier. :)

No, the other version has not yet been released. It was put up on MySpace for a day or so I think. I think that's the only way we have it. :)

I ordered last night but the shop really didn't want me to buy it, it went back to the homepage when I clicked checkout three bloody times. Grr. If you have problems, keep trying is my advice.
