It is only fair of me to warn you. If we , the british, determine that you vote for the wrong person *cough* McCain *cough*.
Then we will have no choice but to make you a colony again, as you will have shown us you can no longer be trusted to make your own decisions.
You dont want the tax on tea to go up do you now!!!! |

*LOL*
I'd fully support that (as I'm sure at least half of Germany would), seriously, please do it before March next year, then I can quit studying the American stuff and focus on the UK ;D
(I love that letter, thinking about sending it to my lecturers, hm...) |

That was a nice version! I thought I had one of those, but seem to have lost it. I'm glad you posted it. |

There's a longer version on Facebook; a group called "Petition to revoke the independance of the U.S.A.", aswell as a counter group "Petition to annexe the U.K. as the 51st State of the U.S.A." |

Duly noted Gladly. I did my part to keep my country's independence. Hope that counts for something if things go a certain way.

Hehe
Anne, if you don't want to live in the British Empire, just move to Kansas. Apparantly, the Queen doesn't fancy that state :o) |

I have done my part as well. We can only hope there is enough of us to avoid being losing our nationhood. |

I'll agree with some of those points. Except the "chips."
We have those kind of chips. They're called "home fries." That's what your mother makes when she can't afford to take you to McDonald's. They're not better. They're too potatoey. (I love potatoes, but when I want French fries, I want French fries.) |

home fries must be something different here then. They are cutup, squary friend potatoes generally consumed at breakfast.
French fries would be of the mcdonalds skinny variety
chips are the big fat good ones

You are thinking of Tater Tots.
Or possibly you mean hash browns?
Home fries are also sometimes called steak fries. They're just a thicker cut French fry.

no no no. Not tater tots (which i dont actually know if they exist here or if I just know about them bc of american tv)
Home fries:
hasbrowns are little shredded up things, or in patty form like at mcdonalds. |
