I think Claudia, Lacey Chabert, was an incredibly good child actress.

well, there's also Germany's Next Topmodel (next year 4th season) - hosted by our very own Heidi Klum *argh* (I don't think she's really human, to be honest)
I don't watch a lot of TV anymore (as I have no TV in my student-appartment), but I used to watch:
Gilmore Girls, Six Feet Under, Scrubs and Everwood (ahem).
