Yeah, from Dougie. Apparently he has a thing for y's. He asked me if I spelled my name with a e or y.

Sometimes People pronounce the first syllable in my name like "ME".

It's Michelle. I hate when people do that, and anybody who calls me "Shelly" :P

My Aunt perpetually spells it Mishelle, with an S. Who spells it with an S?

At work, if I answer the phone, people call me Andy.
Me: Hello, this is Sandy.
Them: Oh, hi Andy.
Me: No, Sandy.

Back in school, I always got called my siblings' names. We have a huge family--
so, aunts and uncles were the same age as my brothers and sisters...

So, lots of teachers would call me one of my sister's or aunt's names.

Now, I get called Nancy a lot too. Just out of nowhere!

It would be annoying but I can understand the Andy thing, esp. over the phone. But Nancy???

And I forgot in my original post to gripe about people leaving the 'e' off of my name. It bugs me but it's not stupid like the "that's not your real first name" theory.

I've got so many gripes with my name. I constantly have 'Moray' mis-spelled as:

Murray
Muray
Mury
Maury
Mary
Mory

etc. And what really gets my goat is that this is generally in emails. So these muppets had to type in/search for my email address. And the next thing they do, which is start to address the email to me, they go and fuck it right up.

In here my name is not an usual name...
So nobody knows how to write it XD and I have to spelling it...
And everybody ends up to call me "elen" and ok, it has the same meaning of "eledh", but it's quite annoying... So I tell them "call me "el" or "ele" and it's ok" XD
And... They mostly write my name like "eledth" or "elehd" or "eleth" XD
Just my best friend knows how to write my name! XD
But I'm proud of my name, so I won't complain XD

How do you pronounce your name? It's a neat name.
