That's terrible!
Last year there was an article on a magazine about this but in Argentina. I can't remember the weird names now, but they were so stupid. Poor kids! |

i heard about this a while back (the trend in NZ, not this specific case). How does that catch on as a trend? Jeez.
And if anyone has seen Cool Runnings: "Talula? Sounds like a 2 dollar hooker"
"That's my momma's name"
im sorry. i love that movie |

And I thought I was weird because I want to call my future son "Sirius Nizar Liam".
Now I can see there's nothing wrong with those names. u.u°

Not always crazy ones, but sometimes very innocent names can cause trouble outside the countries of their origin. I have two friends named Ufuk. Believe me not a good name when you are living in the States. One of them ended up adopting a name. Another friend (Turkish, living in the States at that time) was joking about naming his unborn son Dikmen, another normal name in Turkish. They did not do it of course:) |

Yes that can be tough when your name is suddenly some curse word in another language.
My mom once had a student from India whose name was Vagia. It was pronounced Va-gee-a. I think it's actually pretty but unfortunately too close to the ladypart name. |
