Ohio really gets a bum rap for being exceedingly boring, but there really is a lot of cool stuff in Ohio. It is boring to travel in Ohio, though, because it's just...flat.

I beg to differ! The most boring state ever to drive through is: Indiana.

Ohio is full of awesome. ;)

Did you know Cincinnati has annexed this Area of Kentucky? We call it "Greater Cincinnati" and we put our airport there. Hehe. ;)

We have a place like that in Turkey, called Konya Ovasi(Konya lowland) - for hours of driving, the only thing that you'll see is wheat fields.. most boring ever... and just to give you an idea, the area is as big as Holland:)

I've never driven through Indiana. My grandparents lived in Kentucky and I always spent my summers with them when I was a kid. I've taken that looooong drive down 75 more times than I can count. My favorite part of the trip is the big bridge near the Ohio/Kentucky border.

Greater Cincinnati, aye? Hmmm. I'll have to think about that one.

So do you have that Ohio accent; not quite northern, not quite southern?

The funny thing is that Sebnem is my supervisor from undergrad and now I'm going to study with the same supervisor that she also studied when she was in DAAP. Really small world:)

I probably do have the accent. (Though not as much as my sister.) And I don't say "Please" when I want something repeated. ;)

And I was kiddin' about Kentucky of course ;) We love you Covington and Newport! :D

The real test of an Ohio accent is how you pronounce "Coke." There's no way I can write it the way it sounds, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

You mean the "O" sound, right? ;) It's totally weird, my sister does it. I don't think I do though. (but who knows.)
