OK, here's a Mad, Fucked up, Kooky, Weird idea, why dont people qualify their reasons for liking said actors/actressess.
btw before you start Ledger's performance in the dark knight was good... but oscar worthy ?? just cause he snuffed it ??

John Cusack ticks that particular box.
Edit- Reasons: versalitity, understated performance, the reason why Grosse Point Blank is one of my favourite films ever. |

I watched this recently and to be honest for something that is supposed to be a black comedy. I found it neither Black nor Comedic... I do agree it is a bit quirky but I also found that John Cusack is a bit like Sean Connery, he doesn't play a part, he plays himself, that's not acting, that is fitting a film around an actor.

Well, it'd be a boring place if we all loved the same stuff and for the same reasons. It's hard to quantify a reason for liking something, but I genuinely enjoy the film and like Cusack in it. I'm no professional reviewer. Simply, the film and the actor flick my switches - and it's not for reasons of "hot".
To reach a status where film writers create films for you must say something for you as an actor. And if such a concept seems Connery-esque, it cannot be a bad thing. (well, I'd be happy if it happened to me!!!)
I do think that in terms of genre, surely this is the epitome of the black comedy? I know you disagree, Dubz, but the whole "hit man at own school reunion" theme seems to fit that bill pretty well!
Each to his own, huh? :) |

John Hannah - coz he's a yummy bugger.
I don't really have favourite actors, well not ones that are based on quality - I watch Hollyoaks, for fuck's sake. I'm more of a visual sorta girl ;) |
