Spain needs Torres and Cesc, but our manager is stupid and the way they play is not good for them.

Very defensive first game.
Both goalkeepers little to do.
Good result for the Czech Republic though.

Hopefully a little bit more goalmouth action in the next game. We hope!

Nope.

Portugal going on the last world cup were totally uninspiring. not to mention the diving and quite frankly dangerous play, maybe I could be wrong but I'm fed up of what people are calling "Gamesmanship" when what they mean is sneaky fuckers who get paid to much blatantly cheatng and calling it something else.

I'm not a huge fan of Turkey either but I hope they Fuck Portugal.

it's pretty hard to say there are many better over the last few years as much as i don't like to say so

Barclays Player of the Season: 2006-2007, 2007-2008
PFA Players' Player of the Year: 2007, 2008
PFA Young Player of the Year: 2007
PFA Fans' Player of the Year: 2007, 2008
PFA Premier League Team of the Year: 2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008
Football Writers' Association Award: 2007, 2008
Barclays Player of the Season: 2006-2007, 2007-2008
Barclays Golden Boot: 2007–08
Manchester United Players' Player of the Year: 2006-2007, 2007-2008
UEFA Champions League Top Scorer: 2007-08

i don't see a great deal of Spanish or Italian football but he finished 3rd in the FIFA world player of the year in 2007 behind Kaka and Messi, they must of had some hell of a season.

Messi would be above Cronaldo in my view. The worst career move he could make would be going to Real.

But these awards are the same as the feckin' champions league these days, i.e. All about hype and money. It would make no difference if Joe Soap of Accrington Stanley scored more goals than anyone, played better than anyone, he wouldn't get a shout as he's seen as a no one playing for nobody.

Recent players better than the diving cheating fucker... Larsson, Messi, Tevez, Zidane, Cannavaro, Thuram, and I hate to fucking say this but Rooney.

Rooney has more insight, works harder and will chase down balls and players unlike that little primadonna, I'd love to see him at Real, I think he'd sink like a stone, you think all his little flicks and showboating are gonna work against Barca, Athletico, Deportivo, Villareal, Sevilla. Theses guys aren't Reading, Birmingham, Derby, the difference between the bottom of La Liga and the bottom of the Premiership is huge. La Liga is a much tighter league.

I'm a Real Madrid fan, but I don't want Ronaldo here. Too much money and I think we don't need him. What we need is a player like Fábregas.

Better but still not great, 1 goal so far from the penalty spot, where's the passion, the feeling, the attacking play??
