>:O Ahhhhhhhhhh! Ok...I'm already pissed off about the Red Wings losing last night, but I thought today might be a good day since I have two nice articles in a paper today. I walk over the newsstand in our office, open the paper, start reading over my article and the editors ADDED a mistake to one of my stories. WTF. Now I look like the dumb ass because my name is on it. Great.

What kind of mistake? Spelling or facts? That's a drag.
Too bad about the Wings, too, but this way they can celebrate their victory at home. |

If I also read a mistake like that also, I don't also think that I'd also blame the journalist, also. I also know it's irritating, but it is also not a serious error, also. |

You've cut me to the quick.
I'm sweeter than the dew on a honeysuckle vine. With a mean sense of humor. |

I have no idea how the industry works. But is there someone above the Editor you can complain to?
Can you not ask for a final read over before it is sent to print. |

The only people above the editors are the publishers...and they're not here. They're in New Jersey of all places. Our paper is one of MANY they own, so I'm sure they don't give a crap about that little mistake. They care about ad sales. I'm pissed, but I don't think it's worth it to bitch about (to them at least). I just started here, ya know? :/

I understand you would have to be careful when you have just joined a company.
I guess it was a genuine mistake on their part and it wont happen again. |
