Could you find a way for us to see who's logged in? |

I've thought about that too, it would be great.
Though then everyone would see how no life I am :( |

I think the problem would be that most people never log out. |

Yeah, but they can log out and still lurk..
I've wondered about that idea too TWT. Seen it on other boards and then you know who not to talk about :P just kidding! |

Can't they just have a thing like who's been active in the past 5 minutes? Do some forums have this, or am I making this up? |

What does it matter?? It'll only cause friction. What if someone is logged on but doesn't feel like talking, so someone else gets all huffed up, The interweb is supposed to be anonymus I think it should stay that way.
anyway, that's my 2 cents

On most boards you can choose whether you want to be 'invisible' or not. |

Even if you don't log out, you won't show if you're not actually on the site, or that's how I think it is. I checked my page from another computer without logging in (I never log out from my own), and according to the statistics there, it gave as the "last seen" the time I was last here. |

I don't really get it why some people are so desperate to being visible to others.

No not desperate, but sometimes its nice to know who's out there without having to write a thread to find out. It was just a small idea, no big thing, i'd seen it on other sites and wondered. Looks like the consensus is split. I don't mind really either way. It's not a case of wanting to be visible but more a case of wanting company i suppose. |
