I am in a "yet to sign" signed band, as of Friday past.
Yeah, that's right- i got a deal. It's with a small independent record label called Cynical Monkey Records and they've shown serious interest in us and want to sign us.
Basically, whenever we have free time (which will be the end of January) we go into the studio to record, and they release the stuff for us on iTunes, Napster, HMV Digital- whatever!! So rather than hearing some 8-track demos that we made ourselves, we're going to have proper tracks, available for digital download. And all this we've been promised by the spring of 2008.
I'm so excited! The deal also means that if we get other offers while we're still contracted to Cynical Monkey, we can continue to use them for digital releases and use other labels for 'physical' releases. All that's a long way off right now- but i'm treating this as a major stepping stone. I'm so chuffed it's unreal. |

| Haha, i'm not getting ahead of myself with it. I know it's hardly nothing. It all just feels like it's going somewhere, and i'm glad of it. I'm treating it very carefully- i just thought some people on here might be interested to know about it.. |
